She said that she felt like sometimes she was a flying plane and didn't know where or how to land. The plane also gets referenced in labyrinth "I thought the plane was going down, how'd you turn it back around". That's the best I can think of.

I think this video harkens back to the fact that she had been in hiding for basically a year and then showed up with an album. She took back the narrative with her songs. And I don’t think it’s a coincidence she looks naked in the box when she had been portrayed as a nude wax doll in a certain someone else’s music video without her permission.

She wrote certain songs as a 'badass' figure. But...that's not who she really wants to be. She sees herself trapped in a clear box where she's exposed/naked. She sees external forces, including her hurt self, trying to impose these hard edges on her--she is forced into armor, then her horse is forced to grow armor. It seems a battle between dark Taylor & trapped Taylor for who she's really going to be. Trapped Taylor gathers her power, breaks free from the box & defeats dark Taylor, then ascends to a pinnacle where she stands looking around in triumphant wonder. Rep comes in hard at first like a revenge album, but underneath it's about love & transforms throughout into a softer version, finishing with New Year's Day.

IMO It's definitely Taylor "single handedly holding up Big Machine" but they were arguing timeline and release date 6 mo gap and how BM would not let such a dig be included in the video. I'm a believer that discussions about Masters started long before the contract renewal terms started being discussed or offers/terms being proposed on paper and Taylor is way too crafty to get "caught" trying to slip that scene in. :-)

The caged bot is demonstrating all the different weapons and tactics she can fight with while the jailer Taylor is testing her, making her get stronger...in the end it was her most powerful weapon (her voice) that frees her.

LWYMMD was the first mv in the Rep era, and OOtW was the last mv from the 1989 era, and yes she is wearing the ootw dress. After the Rep era and into the Lover era, there is a snake that opens up the first mv of that era. the tilted stage is Kanye West who was using a tilted stage on his tour. One headstone was Nils Sjoberg on it, her alias when she wrote This is What You Came For. The dollar bill in the diamond bathtub is referencing when she was SA’d by the DJ who then sued her for millions, but she countersued for just $1 and won. the car crash with the grammy I think is shade to Katy Perry who has never won a Grammy This was her taking the word “snakes”, that KK called her and used against her, and the entire theme of Rep era is snake. The tea. Everything centered around snakes was genius. I heart TS is referencing a Tshirt worn by Tom Hiddleston at 4th of July party. Lots of discussion about the chainsaw and the plane. Everyone has a theory. I don’t buy any of them. there is no consensus. No therory really makes that much sense yet. I have my own theory. All the Taylor’s using what everyone says about her….. the end is 2009 VMA Taylor, in her VMA dress, holding the VMA and saying “I’ would really like to be removed from this narrative”. Which is what she said at that time in 2009. The robbing the vault is referencing streaming services that are robbing the artists and she stood up to Apple (the infamous Apple letter) and Spotify which at the time was seen as “drama”. But now, 10 years later, it is seen as part of what made the business model that Spotify uses today. Orange suit in a cage is a common theme. She views herself in a cage for the world to view, like a circus animal. we see this in delicate mv, the song who’s afraid of little ole me. The kingdom keys are revisited in Long Story Short. it’s a biblical reference, the parable of the great banquet, resurrection, etc.

The dark Taylor is when it becomes a main part of your identity. The light Taylor has that in her (the eyes at the end) but blows up the hard shell that dark Taylor wears.

That is a reference to a sexual assault case she was involved in 4 years prior (in 2013), when David Mueller, a former radio jockey, groped her by putting his hand on her ass under her skirt. He denied it but as it was at a meet-and-greet before a show, there was a photo of it + multiple witnesses. She had her security team remove him from the venue and issue him a lifetime ban against ever attending another one of her shows. She also notified his employer, KYGO and two days later they fired him, citing the morality clause in his contract. So, he filed a defamation suit against her in 2015 for millions of dollars, denying everything and that because of her "false" accusation, he lost his job and his reputation was ruined. In response, Taylor filed a countersuit $1, claiming assault. She asked for that amount on principle, because all she wanted was to demonstrate that what he did to her was assault, and to "serve as an example to other women who may hesitate to come forward". In August 2017, the jury ruled in her favour. One of the unintended funny things from the trial was, because in the photo you can't directly see his hand on her ass for obvious reasons, his lawyer asked her why her skirt looked undisturbed if his hand was under it. You were right on the money with the rest. In End Game, in one of the London scenes, Taylor is seen sitting at a bar playing Snake on a handheld game console. This reference is also noted in one of the Tokyo scenes, in which she rides a motorcycle in a snakeskin-patterned bodysuit. I agree, we needed a mv for Getaway Car. The fact it wasn't a single is possibly the most insane thing blondie has ever done.
