Mike Meadows on guitar and piano has been with her since the fearless tour as well in 2009! Most of her backup singers since 2013 as well.

She also had headlines that kept saying this tour is gonna flop and ended up being so successful it even blew Taylor’s mind cause she thought everyone hated her and she did almost 0 press for her album. This tour solidified her confidence through the worst times in her career and made her gain the confidence that she has today. That’s why she was so vulnerable during long live/new years day because she was taking in the fact that everyone there truly loves her no matter what. I also love the songs live they are a whole other level! This album was meant to be performed and meant to be dramatic and theatrical. Definitely watch the making of the songs!! And I suggest you listen to the lover era before watching Miss Americana.

2025-06-17 22:59:08 +0000 UTCI love the studio album but a lot of the songs are just on another level live. The choreography, the stage, the vocals! She sounds so good in spite of being sick. The body IS bodying, the moves ARE moving and the hips aren't lying! I feel like this is the first time she truly embraced her sexuality. Also, the dancers are 🔥 I'm so jealous of all the people that saw this live (and any tour for that matter). Taylor actually invited some of the "journalists" that made these comments on the tour and some of them attended. Perez Hilton was allegedly one of them (I'm pretty sure he leaked the Reputation tracklist, not to mention he bullies everyone in Hollywood). And more proof that Taylor is an actual angel is that on the day before the first show in Glendale, Arizona, she invited 2000 foster and adopted children to a private dress rehearsal. There's a funny story behind the crowd screaming the words "1, 2, 3, let's go, bitch!" after Taylor sings the first verse/chorus of Delicate. The chant began after Emily Valencia, who was just 15-years-old at the time, shouted it out while attending the the tour in Pasadena, California. She shared the video on Twitter and it went viral, with the crowd and Taylor referencing it at shows within just weeks. Since then, Swifties AND Taylor have made the chant a permanent part of the song’s live performance, all throughout the Eras Tour as well. The tradition of the surprise songs/acoustic set technically started on Speak Now Tour, but then she mostly did covers and had surprise guests sometimes but it wasn't always acoustic. It also wasn't as big of a thing. She also had surprise guests on 1989 Tour. The songs varied by each show. The cobra was inflatable and she named her Karyn 😂 It's a reference to when Kim Kardashian called Taylor a snake in 2016 after she leaked a part of the phone call. The main guy dancer during the King Of My Heart performance is in the Lover music video. I love Tay's motivational speeches like the one before Delicate ❤️ The poem is called "Why she disappeared". The stage is an X btw 😉 Also, did you notice the "Get love quick schemes" like loml on TTPD?! Her and Jack Antonoff recreated an iconic moment from Miss Americana of when they were writing Getaway Car following Taylor's announcement about owning her work!! There's a very Lover coded set and outfits during the last few songs, as well as Taylor's rainbow dress earlier. Camila and Charli were indeed opening acts on the tour.

(The guy with the emo hair is no longer in the band… And is apparently a Trump fan… Really couldn’t say if those things are connected, but this tour was 2017-18 iirc, so…) Paul Sidoti is the guy whose nose she flicked during Love Story, and he was there on the Fearless tour, too. (She got him a call with Gene Simmons.) The backup vocalists are different, but the band is mooostly the same.

Even up to the tour, the talking heads were predicting the tour would be a flop, that she was really just a flash in the pan, “nobody” liked her anymore. It was SO cathartic to see her get so much love and all that goodwill she’d built with her fans for the past 10+ years coming back to lift her up. It was beautiful 🫶

Also during Delicate, there is a part where the crowd has a chant “1 2 3 lets go bitch!” And bad blood they say Kendrick’s line “you forgive you forget but you never let it—go” you hear it more in the eras tour movie than you do here, but you could still hear if you listen close!
