March 2024 – Behind-the-Scenes Retrospective
Added 2024-03-08 13:00:00 +0000 UTCIn March 2024, I delivered a presentation titled "Public Law in Virtual Worlds" in an academic colloquium held at Hertford College, University of Oxford.
A lot of the research I did for my draft working paper (which you can read here) would go on to be used for my virtual democracies video.
If you're interested, a lot of things that I went through quickly in the video (e.g., the God Problem and IC-OOC blurring) were expounded upon in the paper—although as a heads up, it uses a lot of technical language since it's an academic paper.
The paper also covered a lot of case studies that didn't make it to the final cut of the democracies video and contained an entire section on international law that was not covered at all (although that may end up forming the basis of a future video).
