Jon and Robb are two of my least favorite characters because they're very predictable and Arya too feels like an overdone trope (though Maisie does a WONDERFUL job). Characters that are "righteous" just don't really grab me. I really liked more conflicted or complex characters...Sansa, Theon, Margery, Baelish. Some of my other favorites are more just decent, pragmatic characters like Davos, Gilly, Grey Worm, Renley...but it's like you said...it's really cool to see how different people gravitate toward different characters. It's such an excellently casted ensemble, there's plenty to choose from and no wrong answers.

Watching these again with you make me really realize how good seson 2 is! I also love Robb and Talisa, Arya's journey, Dany, Jon and Ygritte, Sansa, and Tyrion! All of it!! All I can say bout Season 3 is /just wait/!

2022-04-24 11:45:39 +0000 UTCHereβs a little easter egg for you: you had mentioned the score at the end of episode 8 and I wanted to give a higher praise to it. The creator of the score (Ramin Djawadi) made different themes specific to each of the main houses and plays it throughout the show whenever a character from a specific house has a moment in the show. To my knowledge, I believe the score won at least one Emmy. The score that you heard at the end of the episode was the Stark theme (for obvious reasons). I think its so cool how in-depth the score actually is. The audience can appreciate the quality of the score when taking it at face value, but when listening deeper, it can hold a whole new meaning and can contribute significantly to the seriesβ storytelling. Looking forward to watching with you next week (as always)!
