Okay so I’m currently watching episode 11 (on 2x speed) because this episode is the definition of filler, I skip it every time I do a rewatch. Like I guess it was fine once and it’s always nice to hear Haley sing, but I don’t really care about alt universe episodes in a show where alternate realities don’t exist. Very few normal world shows can pull off an episode like this and get me to watch it more than once. It’s honestly such a waste of time that does absolutely nothing for the plot. Anyway I’m going to give my thoughts on episode 10 which I actually enjoy. The show actually put on a USO concert and all these people along with a few others really performed at a military base and all the extras were military people and their families, which is awesome. Again always love when Haley gets to sing, plus we get more Mia. I love Peyton’s relationship with Derek. As much I enjoy everyone else I think the real shining moments in this episode come from Nathan and Q and Brooke and Sam. Those scenes are such a bright spot compared to the mess (and not even fun mess) of the mouth/Gigi situation. Because you are right it’s so repetitive and she feels like such a caricature of the scheming other woman coming to steal your boyfriend or whatever. It’s just annoying. I feel like this is such a disservice to the actress who can do so much better than what they’re giving her.

2025-05-28 16:42:55 +0000 UTCSo, I'll respect your reasoning for not liking Julian and I see what you're getting at with him being creepy, but I just never disliked him even in these episodes. 🤷♀️ It might be because the first time I ever saw Austin Nichols was in Holiday in the Sun with Mary-Kate & Ashley. 😂 Now, the second episode. Chad Michael Murray actually wrote this episode. I forget why, but I agree that it does take away from the show and storylines. But also a lot of shows did these type of episodes. More so in the family or sitcoms, like Boy Meets World did it a few times. Sister, Sister did it as well. There were a few others, but can't think of them. Also, not sure if you caught it but the spot where alternative universe Peyton got shot is the spot where current Peyton is holding. Anyway, enjoyed your reaction as always and can't wait for the next upload! 🙂
