Topic Advice - Supreme

A little more aggressive than I would have put it but I could see where she's coming from. Those are good title suggestions, why they're controversial may be a good way to go with it. I think I'm still going to hold off for right now. I'm actually thinking there's a chance the brand could fall pretty hard at some point and that would be the ideal time for a video about them.

I mentioned this poll to my 21 year old daughter who is very familiar with the brand but does not own any Supreme products (I taught her well LOL). She suggested "Supreme - The company you love to hate." She described the company as "selling basic products at astronomical prices to people who are insecure and in need of status symbols for validation."

I would call the video "Supreme - why they are controversial". I have very mixed feelings about them. Part of me admires them for being so successful at marketing and part of me despises them for ripping people off (usually those who are younger and more vulnerable to manipulation). I agree, I think you could do a very solid video about them.

I've never heard of them before. A quick Google tells me it's because I'm not their target demographic. I'd be interested to hear why they're successful. Maybe you could include some of why they're hated as well?

I’m aware of them, being somewhat into streetwear, but i think they’re just hated for popularity reasons. They’ve also been meme’d quite a bit from what i’ve seen.

Well now I'm second guessing the whole topic. It's looking like they may not be as well known as I thought and I don't think the video would be too enjoyable if that's the case.

Add me to the list of people who has no familiarity with them. Why they are hated is probably more interesting to me just because I don't know them.

Appreciate the input Robert. It makes me second guess whether they're commonly hated or not. I definitely don't want to make a video like that and learn that's not even the case. I get that perception because almost every video or article about them I've seen is filled with comments putting the brand down and making fun of those who wear it.

They're one of those brands that's extremely popular among select groups but I get the perception that people outside of those groups tend to make fun of them for it.

I'm surprised to hear you haven't heard of them Catherine. But to be fair, I suppose I learned about them through suggestions from the channel. I always try to choose topics I think the audience would know and want to hear about but it's so hard to tell.
