WIP Snippets
Added 2021-12-21 23:00:07 +0000 UTCI've been thinking about the way I'm sharing WIP snippets (excerpts from the current in-progress section of the game that haven't been coded and added to the alpha build). Previously, I have occasionally tacked them on to the end of progress reports, but recently I've been sharing these on the Patreon-only section of the Discord server. Discord is a much easier platform for engagement and reactions than Patreon, but not everyone has Discord. Conversely, not everyone checks Patreon.
WIP snippets are always more difficult to share than I think. It's hard to find the right sample from a 50k section that's interesting, but also doesn't spoil anything major ๐ . Cross-posting between Discord and Patreon is also difficult (mostly because I find it tiring to update in one place and then remember to update elsewhere).
So, my question is--what is your preference for WIP snippets? On Patreon, Discord, or both?

I think it makes sense to get it on patreon. Everyone who is a patreon is on patreon, and we get it as an email too, which is nice. If something is juicy, patreons would certainly discuss it on discord. I think it would be great to leave the channel there for discussions of them!
