I can't watch any Tom Hanks film without crying its like a dang curse lol ugh. This movies too real and too good and I did love how they managed to put Forrest at the kinda center at these historical events in history

Tom Hanks had been known mostly for comedies in the 1980s. This started to change with “Philadelphia” (1993) which won him an Oscar. “Forrest Gump” immediately followed it and it was one of those feel-good movies.
The thing that I like about “Forrest Gump” is how Forrest is the one constant in people’s lives and despite the many changes throughout history, he essentially remains the same.
One of the most touching scenes is when Forrest learns he has a son and he asks Jenny if he is smart and we see them both watching “Sesame Street” together.
It’s kind of a shame they never did a sequel because there was one written after the first book.
