The 360, otherwise known as the βLadybugβ, marked Subaruβs entry in to the Japanese car market. Its creation was motivated by the Japanese Kei car initiative which mandated vehicles with engines smaller than 360cc in an effort to produce affordable transportation for Japanβs population.
