(SFW) More quick portrait exercises
Added 2023-09-04 22:01:42 +0000 UTCA few more of these! :) Each took 40~50 minutes this time cause I allowed myself a little more room for experimentation on each.
These are quite fun to do and I can already see growth in my ability to take shortcuts and faster decisions in my process!
I'm thinking of taking a few portrait requests from patrons too, since drawing characters other than my own helps me leaving my comfort zone. What do you think?
Characters are, in order:
- Briar, one of my PCs from the Rooshellan D&D campaign! I experimented with a different brush for shading in this one, really pleased with the result.
- Alistair, my friend Puri @glubnyan 's PC from the same campaign. I actually had his sketch done and sitting around for a while, and finally decided to color it using this exercise.
- Omen, my friend Nae @rollingnae 's PC from the same campaign. Same as above - she was specially challenging since dark & cool colors are way out of my comfort zone, but very fun too!
- Faura, a major NPC created by Momo @fluffyflorals for the same campaign. Quite pleased with the lighting and shading on this one.
- Lavender, a major NPC from a short The Witch's House adventure I ran myself for friends. Went for a softer approach with this one!
