It seems the TS original protagonist has come face-to-face with a hidden boss

(I have no excuse. It’s so hot that I don’t want to do anything.)

(tl note: switching from my sister to nee-san and the like)

When I stole Chesed’s power, I initially thought the sense of discomfort I felt at the time was because I was influenced by him.

But then, I also felt a bit uneasy, thinking if that were the case, it wouldn’t be strange if I had a stronger rejection reaction inside.

Of course, it’s not like I’m saying I’m refusing Chesed, okay? It’s just, how should I put it… Considering the discomfort I felt, didn’t I accept it too smoothly? That’s what made me question my own thought process.

And after meeting Binah-sama and Charon-sama and having that blatantly important and suspicious dream this morning, I feel like I've somehow come to understand that question. Eight-chan figured it out…

Yeah, now that I’ve met and talked with Daat like this, I feel like some important piece within me has clicked solidly into place. It’s the completion of Perfect Eight-chan. Well, I was already perfect enough up until now, though. That just means that now that I know even my past life’s past life, I’ve become even more perfect.

Still… thinking about it again, I’m pretty amazing. My past life’s past life was a mother-like existence to the Ten Archangels of Sefirot, my status was really high in an unexpected way. Fufufu… to be cool all the way back to my past-past-life, doesn’t that mean I’ve earned the right to call myself a hardcore* transmigrator? I feel so proud of myself. (tl note: people who take their hobby very seriously)

“Is that so…?”

“That is so.”

Of course, no matter how high status my past-past-life was, that alone doesn’t make my current self a great person.

I am Daat, and Daat is me, but I am me and Daat is Daat.

Whether or not I, T.P. Eight Olishua, was a being worthy of being the future future life* of a great archangel, I think all the actions I’ve done up until now has shown that. (tl note: life after life after death)

What do you think about that, Judge Daat?

“You were splendid.”

…Thanks.

If you think that, then I’d say it was worth it for me to aim to be the perfect cheat original protagonist.

Returning her words with a contented smile, my heart felt very clear.

As far as myself is concerned, I’m now convinced. There’s nothing left bothering me.

Well, there are still a lot of important things, though.

Like what’s going on outside of here, for example.

“Are you worried about En-kun and the others?”

That’s a given. They’re my friends, after all. Of course I’d be worried.

Honestly, more than the secret of this body, I’ve been more worried about how they’re doing and what they’re up to right now. I mean, I’m the always calm, cool, collected, and reliable type of original protagonist, so I never get panic, but I am pretty concerned about Mea-chan in particular. …Yeah, I’m worried about her... I wonder if she’s okay.

“Mea-chan’s fine. She’s still in perfectly good health and with them since then.”

Oh, that’s good to hear.

If she’s with her dependable older brothers, she’ll probably never go out of control again. I also took the power Keter obviously wanted, so there shouldn’t be any more fear of her being targeted by her real father. …There’s none, right?

“Keter’s not the kind of person who would kill someone without a reason. …Well, even if he was, the situation still isn’t very good, though.”

Ehh… the situation’s bad? Is it because I withdrew?

“There’s also that… But even if you hadn’t withdrawn, Fairy World is still a world that is fundamentally carrying a large bomb. Keter and Nee-san each seem to be trying to deal with it in their own way, but as it stands, neither of them is doing well.”

Hmm… What does that mean?

“Right after you left, the Qlippoth of the abyss, ‘Sheriruth,’ awakened.”

Eh?

Sheriruth, that’s that one, right? The Qlippoth of the abyss sealed near Heth.

Last night I went to check it with Binah-sama, and the seal was perfect. So why… ahh, it’s because the seal was perfect. Generally, on things like this, some irregular event happens before long and the seal ends up being lifted.

Thinking in terms of flags, a perfect seal is a lead up for a long-awaited revival.

“Even so, that was a really lead up...”

Exactly. If anything, the fact that it managed to preserve the seal for several thousand years makes it worthy of being called the “perfect” lead up…

Oh, speaking of which, when I peeked into the cage of light with Search, Sheriruth-kun gave me this really nasty look. Any idea why? Do you know him?

“I do. I’m the one who taught him emotions.”

I see. So you met during your journey through the world of the abyss.

Hmm… If you were able to teach him emotions, then maybe if you met him, you could resolve things peacefully?

“That might be difficult… The first emotions he ever learned were deep anger and hatred. He hates all living things outside the abyss—in the Heavenly Realm. He’s always hated me too, always wanted to kill me.”

Scary… Hmm, if he was a Qlippoth who lived by hatred to begin with, and then got sealed away for thousands of years on top of that, he’s probably even worse now. I wonder if that’s the final boss’s setting.

Still… I thought of this before, but this world has too many final boss candidates. Maybe I’ve been misunderstanding everything up to this point?

I wonder if Keter of Fairy Savers ∞ might not have been the final boss, but just a mid-boss… Emotionally, I’d like the founding final boss to be handled carefully, though.

“Oh, here are recording discs that Charon-nee-san archived.”

Nice, well done!

While I was mulling over En’s group and Fairy Savers ∞, Daat suddenly pulled out several discs and dangled them in front of me.

But… why do you even have those? Is this in vogue among sisters?

“Right before you arrived, Nee-san stopped by here. She left these behind.”

Oh, so we just passed each other. So you two met again. That’s great!

Still, gifting Blu-rays of an anime adaptation of your own world as a souvenir to celebrate the reunion of two primordial archangels is kind of surreal, isn’t it? Even for just a little bit more… you really should appreciate the atmosphere, Eight-chan gives a harsh but honest advice as a theatrical original protagonist.

"No way. I like entertainment too."

Don’t say that with a spoiled brat’s face while hugging the discs… It’s cute, though.

Well, if she puts it like that, I don’t really anything to say in return.

Some ghost once said that having an eternal consciousness is torture. Given that, Charon-sama’s choice of souvenir actually makes sense, it’s a nice way to kill time for Daat who has too much time. It’s poor taste, though.

“Hehe, Nee-san always been thoughtful like that. Other fairies used to say, ‘She’s always so quiet, I can never tell what she’s thinking,’ but… she was more considerate than anyone, Charon-nee-san was kinder than anyone.”

I get it. Charon-sama’s such a good person, isn’t she?

“She really is.”

Yaaay! We high-fived each other. We’re both members of the Charon-sama Fan Club.

Yeah, saying that Charon-sama is incredibly kind and a good-natured person—a good-natured goddess-like person—is something that goes without saying at this point. More than anything, the fact that I’m here is proof of that, and although she seems to be scheming something, I believe she wouldn’t do anything bad.

And it’s not like I’ve been brainwashed by her into thinking that way or any dark foreshadowing like that. It’s unmistakably how I truly feel.

Daat, who had the wonderful Charon-sama as her older sister, was checking the disc in her hand with a child-like friendly grin. She looked like she was all excited about the contents of the anime she was about to watch, or like she was happy about a present she hadn’t received in a very long time from her sister.

In other words, what I’m trying to say is: seeing a cool-type beautiful girl show a childlike side is just so good.

“…I’m kinda unsatisfied that you think that, but wanna watch it together? Eight.”

Of course. That was the plan.

We were in the middle of the Wisdom of Kabbalah, and watching the original anime to grasp the situation of the outside world is stylish.

Besides… the fact that Charon-sama went out of her way to bring this to Daat probably means she decided it was necessary for me to watch it right now.

As I watched Daat play with the disc with keen interest, I let out a wry smile while thinking, “good grief.” Of course, internally, I was excited.

With Daat’s hand, as if releasing a monster from it’s long seal—the disc began to play. Thus began the full marathon screening of the anime Fairy Savers ∞.

Go! Fairy Burst!

There, there, there! Don’t lose, En! You’ve got this! Wooo!? Woooo… Alright! Yay!

“Ooh… so that’s En-kun’s Fairy Burst. That was so so cool~.”

A few hours after playing the disc, the two of us were harmoniously lying down in the sky-like world, enjoying the Fairy Savers ∞ screening.

The TV and BD player had been summoned out of nowhere by Daat using a process similar to Charon-sama’s. It was the kind of scene that made me wonder where the power supply they’re connected to is, but going out of my way to point that out would be boorish. What can be seen can be seen, so it can't be helped!

Man, I got so into it, I ended up watching all the way through Part One—until the end of the so-called PSYence Arc from the old work—without stopping. Inappropriate for my age, I got excited like it was a cheer screening*. (tl note: film screening where the audience is encouraged to participate through cheering)

Up to this point, I can say without restraint, it’s a godly anime. Even as a remake, Fairy Savers is reaffirmed to be a masterpiece. Fufu, everyone’s so cool.

But watching it again like this, I really think the PSYence Arc had a high degree of perfection regarding screenplay.

Maybe it’s because the story of the protagonist, En Akatsuki, is nearly concluded in this section.

From an early phase in the story, they’d pushed out foreshadowings like PSYence inciting the “Kaiju” they’d made by modifying holy beasts and Chokmah blowing his top, but the screenplay was easy to understand and always consistent with the protagonist’s big goal, “defeat the boss of the organization.”

Personally, I prefer the character designs in the Isekai Arc, but the PSYence Arc was a battle anime with its introduction, development, turn and conclusion beautifully arranged and had a high degree of perfection.

I watched great. Not only the new characters, including Mea-chan, but the new "Fairy Savers" story, drawn with high-quality digital animation, was a perfect reboot revived using modern technology. The evolution of anime is amazing.

In contrast to me, who was still watching with such excitement with my IQ moderately lowered, Daat was calmly watching with a wise viewing-style, back-channeling on the modern anime she watched for the first time.

And this was her frank impression:

"Humans are incredible."

True.

The boss of PSYence, who tried to scientifically elucidate the fantasy-like power of “supernatural abilities” to draw out even more power.

And Akatsuki En, who punched his haughty face with an awakened Fairy Burst fist.

Both were amazing, despite them being humans.

Coming from Daat, an non-human existence as well as the origin of supernatural abilities, her impression from watching their battle would boil down to that.

…Yeah, watching it again, humans are amazing. Especially the PSYence boss is too much of a genius. The wisdom he arrived at was one of the truths, and if he had a decent personality, he could’ve engraved his name in human history as a matchless genius scientist. Thinking about it like that, it really is a shame, or rather, he really was a disappointing man… it was said as much in the story.

"Of course, that’s amazing too, but more than anything, I’m amazed at the imagination of the creator, who perfectly realized our world to life through the medium of animation."

…? Ah, ahh, that’s what you’re talking about.

Indeed, the production circumstances are mysterious. When you think about it calmly, it makes you wonder how the events from our world are being broadcast as anime in another world.

Is it that? Maybe the original author or screenwriter is somehow receiving strange signals from this world?

"You’re pretty close. According to Nee-san, the people who made this anime apparently used to be connected to our world."

Oh, my goodness. Maybe the origin of the original author’s soul was an inhabitant of this world.

Given that there are beings like me and Daat who’ve traveled between both worlds, it’s not entirely a nonsensical theory.

Well, it doesn’t really matter anymore. More importantly, continue with the anime! Prepare the next disc, Daat!

“Yes, maam!”

Good energy. That’s what I like to see.

Compared to me, Daat had been watching the anime with a calm expression, but she seemed interested in the continuation as she replaced the disc while humming.

I suppose that Fairy Savers ∞ was mainly targeted at boys whose parents had watched the original series, but even Daat, who is clearly a girl… girl? seemed to be enjoying the content just fine. That’s good to see.

"Fufu, you don’t have to fuss over treating me like a girl. You can just treat me like a grandma left behind by the times, you know? I’m an oldster who lost the place she belonged in the world a long, long time ago…"

? The place you belong is right within me, what are you talking about?

“...”

That’s the kind of relationship we have. There’s no need to distance yourself by showing off your actual age. Reincarnated original protagonists often assert their dominance using their mental age, but I don’t want you to do that.

In fact, you should make the best use of your advantage as an eternal beautiful girl and, like me, put your outward charm to good use! In a stylish sense!

"…I’ve never really thought about doing that before."

Oh my… that’s such a waste. Alright, next time, I’ll teach you all about it. About the coolest original protagonist moves! (tl note: switching from play to moves. Still means “standard set of movements”)

"…You really are more suited to being an angel."

More importantly, it’s time for Fairy Savers ∞! Let’s go, let’s go!

"I got it, I got it. Don’t rush me so much."

D・V・D! D・V・D!

…In this case, I should be shouting B・D! since it’s Blu-ray, but D・ V・D just gives a better impression. Waving my arms while chanting it feels really good. It reminds me of that time long ago, when I held an anime screening with my friends, and for some reason, all the guys stripped off their jackets and danced around while shouting excitedly.

"…Was that supposed to be a reference to something?"

Who knows? Knowing those guys, it probably was a reference to something, but for some reason, none of them ever told me. I didn’t forcibly question them either.

“Maybe it was something lewd.”

Ah… maybe, that's true.

I find dirty talk with guy friends pretty fun, but for some reason, everyone avoids that kind of conversation when it’s with me. Dekki talked about that stuff without caring about it, though. That’s when I realized that he was a lolicon. I think he just likes flat chests, but I didn’t point it out!

“That’s totally different. That kid was really funny.”

Yeah. But he was also really tenacious and a nice guy who could do anything when he got serious.

“That’s true… All your friends were really unique and fun people.”

Of course they were… Well, more importantly, let’s enjoy the anime. It’s time for Fairy Savers ∞!

Once the PSYence Arc ends, next up is the long-awaited Isekai Arc. I already watched Raphael-san’s episode earlier, and a lot of developments were changed from the original, making it look interesting.

Let me see how the original Isekai Arc actually progressed without me, the cheat original protagonist!

The Isekai Arc—was a series of unexpected developments for me and incredibly entertaining.

The contents of the PSYence Arc was also very magnificent, but Fairy Savers ∞’s completely new fairy world, including its high-quality animation, was a hegemony-like workmanship. Just looking at the scenery was thrilling.

The designs of En and the others, which have become more manly than the PSYence Arc, were manly and cool, and Mea-chan, who had become more human-like, was adorable and wonderful. She might not have ended up becoming a battle heroine like from the old series, but Akari-chan, who admirably protected En’s home, had the air of a traditional main heroine. And Akihiro was jacked.

That’s right, in this work, instead of going with the isekai group, Akihiro stayed behind on Earth and vigorously beat up the invading Abyss forces, cooperating with “Yesod,” the 9th angel of the Ten Archangels of Sefirot.

The fact that the Abyss had already advanced into the human world at this stage was a development deviating from the previous work, but what surprised me even more was the archangel who presides over “Foundation,” Yesod──I had been thinking he was the only one I hadn’t seen among the Sefirot, but he was in the human world all along.

So the final archangel had been playing a very active part in a place unknown to us. They really got me with that one.

…And while that was running concurrently in the human world aspect, En and the rest of the Savers Task Force + Mea-chan flew across the skies of the fairy world, searching for their scattered comrades and heading for Holy Dragon Ain Sof──That was the content of Fairy Savers ∞’s Isekai Arc.

The outline wasn’t that different from the original Fairy Savers, but thanks to the generous runtime, the characters are much more delved into, which is great. In particular, the way they treated Malkuth-sama-chan and Hod was completely different from the original.

Other highlights included the activities of new characters like the “Qlippoth of the abyss” and “T.P. Eight Olishua.”

In particular, T.P. Eight Olishua totally felt like the heroine of the new arc with the results she’s achieved! Being a never-before-seen tomboyish, boku girl, big sister-type beautiful girl, she started appearing in the slice-of-life episodes after the PSYence Arc, snatching off children’s supernatural abilities while muttering meaningful lines.

Then, she grandly played as the main heroine in a side story TV special with Yamikumo Kakeru-kun as the leading role, her presence instantly blowing up.

The mysterious black-haired beauty later joined* the Isekai Arc as a central character, acting like a guide for En and the other Savers and helping them on countless occasions. (tl note: 参戦 here means “take part in war”)

Her strength and coolness were so intense that, as a viewer, I found myself thinking, “Isn’t this T.P. Eight Olishua character way too much of a show-off?” as she became a central character in the story with her frenzied activities.

She was a boyish big sister who made her gallant entrance as a new, fighting heroine. Her favorite long skirt would be lifted just right during battle, beautifully revealing her slender… legs… legs…

“Don't overdo yourself, Eight.”

“...”

…Ah.

Ahhh… Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

Why!?!?!?!?!?!?

Why am I there!? I’m an original protagonist, right!? Why’s an original protagonist in the original work!?

I don’t get it… I’m so lost…! Why are you the one standing there?! That’s not right! You’re acting like the heroine while disregarding Akari-chan… Idiot! You idiot!! Who would even want that…?! Absolutely no one…! Because of you, a masterpiece anime joined the ranks of shitty anime! A fanfiction original protagonist acting like an official one… You’re not supposed to do thaaaaaat!! Uwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!

“...No…”

“There, there, it’s okay… You’re an original protagonist, after all. Eight is the perfect cheat original protagonist.”

“...Ugh… I’m an original protagonist… I’m not official…” (tl note: Eight regressed to child speech here)

I thought I was an original protagonist, but maybe I wasn’t.

Seeing such an unforgivable sight before my very eyes, the moment I snapped back from my escapism, I was in agony from a chaotic emotion that was a swirl of existential contradiction and shame. After flailing and rioting, I cried on Daat’s lap. I cried.

I cried so hard, I ended up regressing into an infant. Probably more than when I was given a diagnosis of the terminal illness in my past life… But it’s fine, after all, no one but Daat’s watching, so let me cry all I want.

“Ah, yeah… It’s okay to cry when you want to. But rather than saying your face looks sad, I’d say you’re writhing in shame because you just objectively looked at yourself pulling off the perfect heroine moves…”

Yeah… That’s the biggest problem.

I cried when I… T.P. Eight Olishua had become an official character, but what made me cry even more… was that I was being treated in the story like the actual heroine. Why… No matter how you look at it, I’m supposed to be the mysterious, handsome helper character!

I’m happy at being drawn so beautifully and all, but… it’s just, to be seen like that is, um… no.

“…You’re so calculating.”

Shut up. Anyway, I can’t accept this! This hurts the brand of original protagonists…

Yes… This means that right in front of me, the worst enemy [hidden boss] for any original protagonist──“fatal misinterpretation straight from the official source”──came to attack.

(author: The advent of the original protagonist’s hidden boss (ex post facto* information by the official source)!

By the way, it's absolutely unwinnable.) (tl note: bringing something up after the fact)
