When I said it’s a good reason not be a fan, I meant for Taylor Swift. For me, I just think his statement was ignorant and he seems a bit full of himself but who isn’t sometimes.

I think he just knew Taylor was considered a pop artist and thought easy target and maybe knew Billie was edgy and therefore “cool” and this would be a hot take. Oops! What I disagree with is your caution that Taylor maybe should not stop being a fan cause of a dumb statement. For instance I understand that when you love an artist’s music, you might be missing out if you stop listening because you don’t agree with say a political view of theirs. Sometimes I say yep, I guess I will have to just miss out and sometimes I can ignore what ever dumb thing I think they said and just listen to the music. However to me that is not really the same thing here. He, without knowledge, dismissed her. Not pop music, her personally. I think that is a really good reason not to be a fan of someone.
