DJ SHORT Feedback
Added 2024-07-27 23:22:49 +0000 UTCSo with Season 2 in full swing with the first two of six released. I just wanted to check in and get a sense of your thoughts, and what you think really as a whole.
The Shorts run time is targeted to be around the 8min (max mark) although I know S02E02 slightly over ran and produced over a three month period (personal target, but depends on variables and free time) but in terms of content and mixture of characters.
Just wanna really reach out and work out what DJShort you have liked so far, there is no star ratings, just go down and tick yes or no, although if you didn't like one, I would appreciate constructive feedback as to why, so I can avoid or tailor content moving forward. Maybe you didn't like Baraka knotting Damian, or rather different angles of Jann Lee being seeded, or the lighting with Sean's werewolf was too dark, etc.
Although if you loved Drift getting banged by a group or Regens, or if you loved watching Dante played with by tentacles, feel free to comment on your favs too.
Right now, I'm just working out what works with you guys, what doesn't and may need addressing and just touch base and make sure it's something you guys are happy with and enjoy. So there are a few questions after the ratings too :) Again feel free to comment, and if you have suggestions for DJ Shorts then feel free to drop me a DM on here or reply to the poll, or message over Discord's Patreon VIP area :)

For the voice stuff. I think AI is fine in some cases. Like having fun on discord is a fine use. You can't really hire a voice actor spur of the moment and pop out interactions. So I think there is fine. I think it's fine in animations to fix some lines or you know if you are pulling lines from Resident evil 6 for piers you can add some in. Characters who don' really have a voice like drift, yeah it's a good call to hire a voice actor. I don't mind AI use to supplement existing lines of dialogue or to grab a few lines for a short. I think you're doing fine with it. If it ever got the point that you were doing this full time and wanted to make a 30 minute episode with Damian and Tim then probably best to hire an Voice actor since there would be a lot of dialogue there. But if you're just doing a short and you want to throw in some lines there AI is fine. It's all in good fun here so AI isn't really a big issue. Hopefully, that makes sense. We all kind of want Dante to sound like Dante or piers to sound like piers. It's all fun :)

2024-07-28 19:36:02 +0000 UTChugely appreciative of this. :) Feedback is also a powerful motivator, so to know you guys enjoy what is going on, keeps me going, and love the ideas you all come up with as half the time it's pairings I'd never put together so the Patreon selections and randomizers are cool. Plus keeps things fresh. Was unsure about Roleplaying, never done it before, and I know the grey areas around AI, I've used it a couple times in the animations to patch sentences. Noticeably the last sentence the Curator says as he doesn't say DanteJackal Universe in the Dark Pictures games and "Is that the best you can do" taunt Damian gives to Baraka was AI, the rest is all comic relief and as you say, brings the characters into 3 dimensions and relatable. I'm just incredibly humble that folk feel happy too and able to support me in my journey :)

2024-07-28 19:34:41 +0000 UTCThere should be a neutral option I feel like. I mean The nivenfield one wasn't bad...it just wasn't memorable. I really don't remember anything about it it was middle of the pack. Maybe because it was Chris and piers is a setting you would normally find them placed in for pairings and there wasn't really any story beats about it. So it had a been there 1000 times before feel to it. If it wasn't set it a typical resident evil setting or if I had more story elements to it, I think it could work. The other one I was apathetic to was the sam one. I don't even know if you had trickster in the line up at that point, but I think he would have worked better. Weaker was kind of boring and there wasn't any good story elements to it, and it was static. Just Sam sitting in the chair for X minutes. I think if it was trickster playing with him and then maybe about halfway through he gets put in the chair while trickster toys with him then it would be better and not feel so static. I already commented heavily on the Happy Camper one, but I agree with a comment above that it did feel rushed. Thinking about it, it actually felt like 2 completely different scenes that were spliced together. You had the sean stuff and then the brief Dante stuff at the end and they didn't feel connected. The stuff at the start was nice but then, from what I remember, Sean just wandered off and got werewolfed (Yes will will turn any monster into a verb lol) and then the tease was Dante would save him but then that didn't happen. Werewolf finished with Sean Dante showed up, did nothing and then it cut to basically Dante and werewolf with no input from Sean and then it just kind of ended. There wasn't any kind of resolution. They were suddenly back at camp and that's it. I think there needed to be the three of them together maybe Dante catches them in the middle, tries to overpower the werewolf, but the werewolf ends up overpowering both of them and while it's railing Dante or something it's sucking Sean IDK. Just something to make it feel connected. Then more time spend with the resolution like maybe another 30-60 seconds. Everything felt disconnected. I think the times are good. I know you said the drift one was a bit Longer, but apart from maybe spending allocating to much time to the BJ instead of other places the length was good and it felt complete. I don't think you need to lock yourself into a time limit apart from you obviously don't want to make them all 20 minutes long, But if you're animating it and you're at 9 minutes and you're like I really need 30 seconds here to make it feel complete, then go for it. On the flip side if you're sitting at 9 minutes and you're like I feel like I need to cut out 2 minutes because there seems to be a lot of padding and I'm just holding this animation for 30 seconds more than I need to so I can make time. Then go for it. I would say 5-10 minutes is a good length and whatever time in that range makes it feel complete is what it should be. Especially with the NSFW parts I've seen some animations where they just linger on a particular scene for what feels like ages and you feel like checking your watch because cool Piers is giving Dante a rim job...but I think 15 seconds was good, I don't need to stay on the scene for 45 seconds. They just linger on without any cut aways and cuts back so it feels tedious. If you're going to do that, you need to do like cut aways to Dante's facial reaction, then back to the rim, then maybe cut to a low shot of piers getting hard then back etc. Not just linger forever. I think the DJ shorts are the best ones. Like a good short story you can get in and get out with a nice little snippet. Not to discourage from doing long ones as the Alex one turned out breathtakingly awesome, but I think longer works broken into smaller chucks works well instead of super long ones. Kind of like Bio lab it's one story spread across 3 episode and I think that works. So I think like 6 shorts for each season and then maybe 3 "episodes" might be good. 1 story featuring the same couple of characters over 3 episodes. Just to use Baraka as an example. Episode 1 was Damian and Baraka, episode 2 would be Connor and Damian since you did the follow up pack, and then maybe episode 3 is Damian stumbling back home and Tim finds him and tires to take care of him or something and then they end up getting it on and then you know it ends with Tim waking up the next morning and Damian is making breakfast and he's like, "This isn't a thank you or anything. I just made too many eggs." or something like that as part of the resolution. A work like that would be interesting. Yes I love the Patreon interaction stuff. It feels so much more engaging to be part of the community. You hit it off strong with the contest end of last year, and then you added the patreon choice pack each month for 1 large pack and then 4 smaller pack. I think all that is stellar. Yes, I do have an idea, but I think I might save it, for if you do another contest because it's got some good story beats in it and a nice funny twist. If you don't end up doing a contest, then maybe I'll share it because it's uniquely hilarious twist. Though I will say my top few picks for season 3 characters that haven't been animated yet would be: Cal, Rupert, Nero, Spiderman (Cal date?) The imps, Fury, and Brooklyn. I also love what Jim said and 100% agree. You're literally the only creator that I support long term because you interact with people. Everyone else is just a once a month post and maybe some teasers. You ready pretty much every comment and most of the time respond, but if not you like the post to show that you read it. That means a lot to know that your comment is appreciated or that if it was feedback, it has been received. That and the other stuff I mentioned before with the interactive ways to bring patrons ideas out wether its an animation idea or a desired character to a pack idea. Personally it means a lot when you gave me 2 frottage scenes (One with cal and both with Nero. So I guess that means Nero has good taste haha) and the triple anal that I had been asking for. No one else would have done that and it makes it all super fun and very special *cough Gotham knights orgy cough* excuse me had something in my throat LOL That stuff I really appreciate. And I know you've done stuff like that for other people or have based things off their suggestions as well and hyper kudos to you for doing that. It's fun to see packs and go, hey That pose was my idea or hey that Damian wink someone suggested in discord and he put it in that's awesome. Also love the role play stuff haha giving the guys personalities is fun and tying them into a larger studio idea where the packs and animations are them working and then they have weird mishaps off camera (Swear Jar LOL) if so much fun. Side note: You take feedback and you incorporate stuff but you also do a great job of staying true to you and not just following every whim someone else has. You may take parts of a big idea someone had and break them into 3 packs. Feedback is important to listen too, but it doesn't mean you have to use everything or do everything that's suggested , and you do a good job of walking that tight rope of doing your think and staying true to your vision but also brining in other peoples suggestions, wish lists, and fantasies. Top wrap it up I think I would rate the shorts from Most favorite to least favorite 1. Dante and Tentacles (NGL I liked him cursing throughout kind of hot) 2. Jann Lee and Plant 3. Drift and regens (Beats out Damian a bit because of gorgeous camera work) 4. Damian and Baraka 5. Martin and regens 6. Sam and the milk 7. Piers and Chris 8. Happy Campers. Thanks for being awesome. We all appreciate everything you do. :)

2024-07-28 05:59:26 +0000 UTCnow, my big rant. dante, i think it is amazing that you actually listen and interact with your crowd. i've supported many who just send computerized messages once a month, let alone give away basically a commission every month. you comment with others almost daily, and truly enjoy interaction. you read every comment, and try to keep the masses happy and willing to stay, liking all the comments to show you have read them. this honestly blows my mind. i am happy and proud to be a supporter, as i am sure most here are also, and look forward to what your amazing mind does next. sorry if i rambled, but just my opinion.

2024-07-28 02:43:37 +0000 UTCok, in order. milking samuel - - just didn't click with me. it just caught me nothing special, and i couldnt finish it. sorry. dante and the tentacles is my favorite so far. great build up, the discovery/attack scene was well done, and honestly best vocals/sounds yet. this is my yardstick. happy campers - - to me, seemed very rushed, trying to get two scenes in a small time frame. i love the characters in this, they are two of the best. but it just seemed like bad pacing to me. i think most of these are the perfect length, and the mix is great. the balance is usually spot on, with a good build up leading to some of the best nsfw work i have seen.

2024-07-28 02:35:23 +0000 UTCIdea for short: since leon and krauser had some training (bondage and then fucking) i have an idea for piers... i came across drownproofing for marines on youtube... so tied swimming... would be a great military training for piers under supervision from krauser (like leon with the bondage) and of course a fucking as reward
