If ya wanna follow me on other sites or help me survive by sending money or buying merch, here's ways to access my other content! linktr.ee/darkmastern ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ShiokawaStuffer8X Sadly last one I can think of, how about a cursed videogame?(a very declined horror story type) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Paranormal board for Regulation and Incarceration of Inhuman and Metaphysical Entities P.R.I.M.E. File number: 19643-0098 “Grannysdead” ================================================ OBJECT DESIGNATION: GID-VG-001: One (1) physical copy stored on a standard 5.25 inch Commodore 1541 floppy disk designated GID-VG-001. OBJECT DESIGNATION: GID-VG-003: One (1)digital copy stored in the C: drive of a Windows 95 desktop computer designated GID-VG-003. The File on GID-VG-003 is available only on the profile labeled as “Gregory [REDACTED]” utilizing the access password of [REDACTED] Or accessed through admin privileges. Both are held by Hostile Object, Artifact, and Relic Detainment (H.O.A.R.D.) at Site H-3 within a climate controlled unit set at 68°F (20°C), with emergency protocols in place in case of containment breach. While inactive, each object is under standard H.O.A.R.D. surveillance, which is increased to Level II in the case of any strange activity or should temperature within the immediate containment area of GID-VG-001 or 003 raise above 70°F (21.111°C), and again increased to Level III with the immediate initiation of lockdown occurring should temperatures rise beyond 80°F (26.667°C), though such scenarios are rare. Should the two (2) units held by H.O.A.R.D. be utilized in various testing procedures, the Nuclear Family protocol (See below) must first be adhered to, and the members must undergo a secondary thorough background check following Incident report 18 of March 14th 2014. Should other instances of GID-VG-001 or GID-VG-003 be located, they are to be destroyed along with any electronic devices they had contact with, and any distributers are to be located and shut down with haste following usual Guard Dog Protocols. SUBJECT DESIGNATION: GID-VG-002: One burned corpse of an elderly Caucasian female (Thought to be the 78 year old [REDACTED]), within the remnants of a burned bed frame designated GID-VG-002. GID-VG-002 was collected in [REDACTED], a town located in Southeastern Colorado in the year[REDACTED]. Subject has suffered fatal fourth degree burns along it’s entire body. The Subject is held by Humanoid Entity Removal Operations (H.E.R.O.) at Site H-12 with emergency protocols in place in case of containment breach. Observation protocols entail four (4) members of the Humanoid Entity Removal Operations (H.E.R.O.) with 2nd class training in ectoplasmic suppression techniques, and at least three (3) of which believe in one of the field tested P.R.I.M.E. Regulation religious denominations as listed in the most current P.R.I.M.E. Handbook, and attend regular congregation services, for typical use of protecting from spiritual undead forces. Unit is to be equipped with specially prepared hydrophobic and flame retardant armor, along with a standard issue ABC Dry Chemical Fire Extinguisher and their choice of ballistic firearms. In addition, two (2) scientists of Immunes rank or higher who follow the Nuclear Family Protocols will be stationed in a nearby location keeping surveillance on the subject for any strange activity. Should installed automatic sprinkler systems fail to initiate along with the automatic alarm, the scientists act as a second line of defense to alert the location of a potential breach. ================================================ No testing is authorized on Unit GID-VG-002. It is unlikely that any other instances of Unit GID-VG-002 exist. ================================================ CLASSIFICATION AND THREAT LEVEL: Designated Objects are Secutor Rank Freak, Hypnotist, Anarchist, Murray, Ringu class when active, but are otherwise dormant most of the time. ================================================ SUBJECT DESCRIPTION: SUBJECT GID-VG-001 AND 003: Object is a 32 KB executable file labeled “GrannysDead”. The file is being stored on GID-VG-001 and GID-VG-003 respectively, however it can be stored on any computer or device capable of storing digital files or programmed into various gaming cartridges for other systems. The file is compatible with most home desktop computers from the years of 1982-1998, however it has since been accessible through emulators on later systems with little difficulty. The executable is a video game of the Point and Click genre thought to have been released somewhere between 1986 and 1987. The game was never a true commercial release, but was purely spread through various message boards and early internet forums as shareware within computer gaming communities. The game is purportedly created by [REDACTED], a resident of [REDACTED] who went by the name of “Cool-S-Shirt” who may also be known as “SShirtgames” or “CoolSGames” in some versions of the file. The object of the game is for the player “The Grandson” to kill “Granny” by handcuffing her to her bed, dousing her in gasoline, and lighting her on fire. In a majority of individuals the game simply ends at this point, but for a select few meeting certain requirements, they are spontaneously engulfed in flame and accosted along with anyone in the general vicinity, by an invisible undead specter until the computer running the game is destroyed from the flames intensity, generally within 1-6 minutes, after which the entity will vanish. SUBJECT GID-VG-2: Subject is the burned corpse of an elderly Caucasian woman believed to be [REDACTED] Aged 78 years old. The woman is 4’8” long, thought to be closer to 5’7” in life, though her legs have been burned away to the knee and thigh respectively. She weighs roughly 44 lbs. (20 kg.) and is laying on the burned out remains of a wooden bedframe along with two pillows and a blanket, as well as a pair of handcuffs that keep her left arm chained to the bed. The anomalous properties of the corpse only come into play when the properties of the video game are triggered, in which the corpse will re-ignite and writhe around screaming and reaching out for anyone nearby. Those who make contact with her or the bed will instantly become engulfed in flames as if soaked to the bone in gasoline. She will continue writhing and reaching until the computer playing the game is destroyed by the flames that engulf it, after which she will return to an inert state. During this time some holy symbols and prayers have proven effective at protecting oneself from the entity, though this currently is reported as having only a 33% effectiveness rate, though it seems to increase by roughly 9% for each member participating. ================================================ CONTAINMENT: Several instances of this anomalous object have been collected by Prime over the years, usually following several instances that required immediate media blackout. The first incident report was in 1988 after an agent reported that several members of a niche game trading community in Fort Collins Colorado had shared warnings with local and long distance friends via a mailing newsletter and BBS Chat Rooms that a “Tasteless and obscene” horror game was making the rounds. Some warned of it’s graphic nature and warned that it was made for shock value, while others seemed to enjoy the shock value of the game, however one account claimed that the game was the cause of at least one death within the Fort Collins area. This claim was made by Selene Jarkko, known among the gaming circles simply as Jarkko. Jarkko claimed that she had known the creator of the game, [REDACTED] and that he went by the name of “CoolS” within the community. Her warning was to others that they should not play the game as it could kill them, and sighted that it had been the cause of death for Aaron Kelley (31) whom had died in a house fire a week prior along with his grandmother Esther Kelley (70). Aaron was found dead within his home once the fire had been put out, and Kelley himself along with his desktop computer seemed to be at the source of the flame, and the grandmother seemed to have succumbed to asphyxiation soon after. Though other members of the community seemed to think she was simply attempting to scare them, as horror stories and fear-mongering was quite common for Jarkko, Aaron Kelley had indeed shared the file one week prior among several peers as a new shareware horror game. Kelley’s home was burned nearly to the ground, and initially wasn’t investigated by P.R.I.M.E. Agents as it was ruled a suicide due to evidence pointing toward an accelerant used to cause the flame, however an investigation was launched following Jarkko’s repeated messages and newsletters sent to members of the community, especially after learning that Jarkko was apparently at the scene when Kelley had died. Two more incidents took place, within the greater Colorado area in which Jason Locke (19) was killed in a similar manner within his home in [REDACTED]. His grandmother lived in the same home as him, however she was out at the time of the fire and was unharmed. And the other involved Michael Firth (41) who’s grandmother Petunia Rittenbacher (91) was also burned alive during the fire. A neighbor who was home at the time of the fire reported that he heard a hideous scream come from the house, followed by a flash as one of the rooms seemed to spontaneously combust, after which he immediately called the fire fighters. This led to the seizure of all known copies of the game file, while agents shut down various message boards in which the file had been spread while other members were contacted to learn the whereabouts of [REDACTED]. The fires were attributed to various reasons such as arson, faulty wiring, and tragic attempts at insurance fraud, as tests were performed, attempting to replicate the potential anomalous effects claimed by Jarkko, with Jarkko brought in to [REDACTED] for questioning as to the potential whereabouts of [REDACTED] Jarkko would not cooperate at first, however eventually shared with the agents that she was a fan of the occult and conspiracy theories, and she shared this quality with CoolS. They spoke to each other all the time in various messaging rooms and were even pen pals as well, and worked on several very small and simple “Horror” game concepts for the IBM that were mostly just re-textures of existing games. She had claimed that he was into “Dark” humor, and on more than one occasion claimed that he was going to murder his grandmother who shared a home with him, claiming that she was abusive, and he showed her a game he was going to make about it, though she believed it to just be a joke at the time. Jarkko claimed that after she had taken a trip across state to see him, she became unnerved that he was much darker and more dangerous than she had initially thought, and the “Abusive” grandmother he had seemed to be very sweet and that it was CoolS who was truly the abusive one, often times withholding medication or food from her. She had reported him to the police and fled, but didn’t know what became of it until she saw the game being shared around. She played it herself and after hearing the scream, she knew it had to be an actual woman’s dying scream recorded in the game. She went to her friend, the late Aaron Kelley, with the game to try and prove to him what she had seen, and the incident took place which killed him. She claimed that mid sentence he spontaneously combust, as did his computer. She stumbled to get away, an only because he tripped on the computer’s cord did he not grab her. She ran to try and get his grandmother out of the building, however she could see burning footprints appearing along the floor toward them and as she was trying to help, the grandmother too was engulfed in flame, and for a moment, Jarkko said she could see the shape of a woman in the warped and melting mirror, and so she fled. Agents went to [REDACTED] following her claims and found the home of [REDACTED]. It was in the outskirts of town with no neighbors for several miles. They entered to find it had been abandoned for at least a 6 months. Food was left rotting in the refrigerator, and a dead, emaciated dog was still chained up in the backyard, though it had been picked apart by carrion eaters in the overgrown yard. The home smelled of fire and burned wood, though it didn’t seem to have any fire damage, however the discovery of the basement revealed that a fire had once raged within it. The basement was badly scorched, and a bed sat in the center with the corpse of [REDACTED] handcuffed to the post and twisted into a contorted and visceral, almost inhuman expression. Several damaged audio recording devices sat near the bed as well, and finally the corpse of [REDACTED] was curled up in the corner in a similar burned state, however he was posed as if he were trying to defend himself from someone when he died. Further investigation of the house found several journals belonging to [REDACTED] that showed a devolution from enjoying violent and dark topics into psychopathic and cruel behavior toward animals, friends, and family, and a growing obsession with getting attention from forces of darkness or “True evils” as he called them. The body of [REDACTED] crumbled into ash when an attempt was made to collect it, however the grandmother’s body and bed frame stayed strangely intact despite being the obvious origin of the fire, and the body was collected by agents and the land was subsequently seized by the government and all traces of the event were razed from the face of the earth. Initially the corpse showed no anomalous qualities, however it soon became apparent as the tests went on that whenever the anomalous qualities would trigger within the game, the corpse would suddenly reanimate, bursting back into flame and screaming in pain. In June of 1998, another incident took place, this time in Grand Rapids Michigan in which an unlucky individual downloaded the game from a website designated Scarygames.com, which has since been redacted due to potentially containing other harmful executables. Unlike with many of the other circumstances, both the subject of the target, Frank Clarke (32) and his grandmother Marsha Clarke (81) survived, though Frank suffered from the loss of his eyesight, his right arm, and terrible disfiguring burns for the rest of his life. His Grandmother said that she would have died had it not been for her grandson throwing himself out the window and landing in the pool to protect her, giving her enough time to run out of the house and call for help. Object GID-VG-003 was collected from a friend of Frank Clarke whom had copied the game from him before during this time. In the following years, the game has appeared on several websites, including those which provide various game ROMS, and on various Internet Historical Archives, and it’s believed to likely be saved to various floppy disks, and computer hard drives across the country. The Organization is currently assessing options for intercepting the game with fear that the more widespread use of internet piracy, and Game Roms via emulation will allow the game to be distributed to many new individuals long before agents can intercept it. The priority to contain this particular scenario is lower than that of many other Virtual curses as this particular one only effects 2.7 million individuals within the United States, (3.7%) and even then only a small fraction (Estimated at 0.0068%) Would actually interact with said product even if it were more widespread. Methodology for containing future outbreaks is currently under board review. Only two (2) instances of GID-VG exist in it’s playable form, other instances of GID-VG-001 or GID-VG-003 are to be destroyed along with any electronic devices they had contact with, and any distributers are to be located and shut down with haste following usual Guard Dog Protocols. Other Incident Reports can be filed for review by Centurion or higher clearance, or through Immunes or Munifex class agents whom have received proper training. ================================================ CAPABILITY: Upon beginning the game, it plays a short 8-bit rendition of the “Funeral March” which seems to go into a more upbeat and lighthearted introduction song reminiscent of many arcade game intros before going silent and repeating again every 20 or so seconds. The Menu screen depicts a crudely drawn boy with a red shirt with a stylized “S” on it and a blue ball cap. Sitting across from him is an elderly woman, equally as crudely depicted, sitting on a bed with the title displayed as “Grannysdead” along with a flashing “PRESS START” Prompt. (Shown in Screenshot 1). During the game, you play as the unnamed boy with the blue ballcap simply designated “Grandson”. Upon the game’s start, no instructions are given, and you begin in what appears to be a living room. Through trial and error, you can interact with various objects in this room, a Kitchen, Front yard, Bathroom, Garage, Backyard, Bedroom, and Grandmother’s room (With the Front Yard, Garage, and Backyard only accessible through puzzle solving). There is only one other character in the home, being labeled as “Granny” whom is always confined to her bed within her room, and an unnamed dog in the Front Yard. The player is left to wander around these rooms collecting items and attempting to use them on various other items in attempts to gain new items or gain access to new locations. Every now and then, a text prompt will appear and Granny will demand a task of you. This task may be something simple such as “Fetch a glass of water” or something more complex such as “Mow the lawn”. When this happens, you are given a time limit, and must stop whatever you are doing and complete the task or you will lose and the game will restart. Whenever Granny’s task is completed, she will go to sleep. When not completing a task from Granny, the goal of the game seems to be finding a pair of handcuffs, a lighter, and gasoline. These items are only available when Granny is asleep and are otherwise inaccessible. These items are collected to allow the grandson can cuff the grandmother to the bed, douse her in gasoline, and light her on fire. (As shown in Screenshot 2). At this point an audio file of a very horrible scream will play. Though the audio is very compressed and bit-crushed, it is very recognizable as an older woman’s screams of pain. This file plays for exactly 7 seconds as very detailed images of Granny being lit on fire play on the screen. (Shown in Screenshot 3). Following this screen, everything goes silent for a short time before the funeral march plays again and a large depiction of Granny’s burnt face appears on screen along with the text “Congratulations! You killed Grannysdead! Now it’s your turn” In red lettering, after which the game comes to an end. In most scenarios, the game will simply end at this moment, however if conditions have been met as illustrated in Incident Report 6, the anomalous properties of the game will reveal themselves. The description from Incident Report 6 will be added below. For a full incident report, it can be requested by members of Immunes or lower. IR6: “Upon completing the game, as the screen went to black, the DRI was able to view a reflection of a face peering over his shoulder. This was not observed by those in attendance at the time, however the recovered webcam used to record and monitor his facial expressions and emotion caught the image in several of the touched up screenshots.
