Vilous | Biography on Niwa, a Talyxian-Stalker [Pre-reading the Raw Concept]

Niwa the T-Stalker

"Niwa" is a T-Stalker which I designed two years ago.

I have not thought of manga yet, but he will appear in some canon story.

As a matter of fact, he is a T-Associator domestics (dog) and T-Stalker mixed type species. I have not set concrete things yet how he was born and how much blood is mixed. This sometimes happen to be the case as the boundaries of Talyxian species are unstable. This is the reason why the administration of Talyxian animals that are not domestication is strictly controlled in Gold Ring. Biohazards can easily occur.

He is young as a T-Stalker and is about 40 years old. However, he inherits the characteristics of the rapid growth of T-Associator domestics, so he already seems old in appearance.

Well, Niwa is a character appearing in GR from about RC 50 's to 80' s. He has a slightly strange role. In the middle term of GR, T-Stalker gains limited human rights. There are not so many T-Stalkers which have high intelligence and can adapt like Eltus people. Most of them live by look for and eat trash and litter for stray bits of food and sustenance, do begging, or engage in a simple job. They are cowardly but do not consider such a situation to be unfortunate, they believe it is better than the horrible forest life.

As you know, some T-Stalkers harm Eltus people. The most well-known are "Man-eaters". However, GR has a disinfestation (killing) system against Talyxians, as such, it is difficult for them to commit harm against Eltus because they feel intimidated. Another harm is stealing or fraud. They are basically self-centered and have a lazy personality. Because people can not kill a T-Stalker if offense that they did is only stealing, they will steal things and resell if there is a chance. The intelligence of a T-Stalker is also intensely dependent on an individuals differences more than character. People give up when food is stolen, but occasionally pursue the search for expensive jewelry, clocks, cars, etc. for the purpose of resale. It is because some T-Stalkers understand the value of money.

Niwa discovers these stolen goods that was stolen by thief T-stalker. And he threatens them and steals those goods again, or pressure them while saying "I'll informin what you stole to its owner!". He will then go to arrange the stolen goods in a coarse cabin at one of his own stores in Gold Ring. Other T-stalkers fear him and will not approach that store. And the owner of the stolen goods can visit the place and get back the goods. (akin to a lost and found)

That's why Niwa was able to live by the money and food they gave as rewards. It is thought that T-Associator blood is the reason why he was able to select an altruistic behavior against Eltus without suffering hardships in order to gain his own benefit. For almost all of T-Stalker, it needs a lot of thinking because it requires considerable intelligence and training.

Later, this technique spread among T-Stalkers. T-Stalker's civilization and cultural zone seem to have a slightly different time axis from Eltus.

さて、ニワはおよそ５０年代から８０年代にかけてGRに登場するキャラクターです。彼は少し奇妙な役割を持っています。GRの中期において、T-Stalkerは限定的な人権を獲得します。高い知能を持ち、Eltusの人々と同じように適応することができるT-Stalkerはそれほど多くは有りません。大半は野良猫のように残飯を漁って暮らすか、物乞いをするか、単純な仕事に従事するかです。彼らは臆病だがそのような状態をあまり不幸だとは考えず、恐ろしい森の生活よりはましだと考えています。

ご存知のように、一部のT-StalkerはEltus人に害をなします。最も知られているのは「人食い」です。しかし、GRにはTalyxianに対する駆除（殺害）制度があるので、臆病な彼らは容易にこれを行うことができません。別の害としては、盗みや詐欺があります。彼らは基本的に自分本位であり、怠惰な性格をしています。盗みによってT-Stalkerを殺害することはできないので、多くの者はチャンスがあれば盗み食いや転売を行います。T-Stalkerの知能は、性格にも増して個体差が激しいです。食べ物を盗まれた場合、人々は諦めますが、時折、転売を目的とした高価な宝飾品や時計、車などが盗まれる場合があります。金銭の価値を理解する者がいるということです。

ニワは、こういったT-Stalkerのすみかを発見し、彼らが盗んだものを再び盗むか、"持ち主に知らせる"と彼らを脅し、それを奪っていきます。そして、盗品を彼自身の店先 - GoldRingの一画にある、粗末な小屋の中に並べておくでしょう。他のT-Stalkerは彼を恐れて、その店に近づきません。そして、盗品の持ち主は、その場所を訪れ、品物を取り返すことができます。

そういうことで、ニワは、彼らがお礼として置いていく金銭や食べ物によって生活していくことができたのです。彼が自分の利益を得るために、苦もなくEltusに対して利他的な行動を選択できたのは、T-Accosiatorの影響であると考えられます。T-Stalkerにとって、その思考に至ることはかなりの知能や訓練を要するからです。

後に、この手法はT-Stalkerの間に広まりました。T-Stalkerの文明と文化圏は、Eltusと少し異なる時間軸を持っているようです。
