Vilous | Tal's Languages - Overview Part 1 [Pre-reading the Raw Concept]

Hello! This time we're going to take a look at the topic of Languages on Planet Tal. This item may become enormous in the future, perhaps further down the line even integrated into the wiki, however it may need more discussion. It is my hope that more people from my Patreon are interested in this type of unfinished information.

Here I would like to introduce the main languages used in the areas inhabited by Eltus races, centered around the Sailzane desert - especially Shigu, Reono, Gold Ring and Nevrea. It is quite possible that there are more unknown languages and cultures but it is undecided under the present circumstances.

In this update, I would like to explain part 1 of the overview. Please Enjoy!!

Goldringle (Gold Ring Language)

[Classification] Civilized Language

[Main speaker] All the resident races Gold Ring, Reono, and people who came from the late Shigu, and is used in the most of civilized areas.

[Overview]

As the name shows, the Goldringle / Gold Ring language is a word developed around GR, and actually it is a common language of the whole world.

Since Gold Ring's language was made jointly between two different races that is Sergals and Agudners, so that speakers can distinguish its pronunciation clearly. Thus the sounds that are made in order to avoid inconveniences via communication through words and meanings. It sounds like Japanese and Korean - there's a feature that one sound corresponds to one character.

As an important feature, the rule and way of "writing words" exist within only this language. There are different myths and old folk lores in spoken and written words, so that each of them seems there was another root to them originally.

All of the Eltus races share the characteristic of "weak to written language than spoken language", so much so that it seems likely that some unknown external factors were involved in acquiring "written words" such as the seal and the influence of ancient shrines.

Sergals and Agudners need to learn to use language, but Nevreans can learn languages more easily than other races, especially for spoken words. Much to the surprise of other races.

People who live in the most of civilized areas can speak this language, but often there's also "local languages" that each native's languages is mixing in.

Sieg Language

[Classification] Primitive language

[Main speaker] Sieg (Primitive sergals)

[Overview]

The word "Sergal" (Saagaru) is coined in Goldringle. "Sieg" means Sergal race itself in Sieg language. In other words, it is the word of primitive Sergals. Most of the Northern Sergals before the Shigu reconstruction are Sieg speakers, but primitive Southern Sergals and Western Sergals also use this language. Like all primitive languages, they speak this language naturally like animals, without receiving cultural education. They particularly pronounce sounds like "sounds of wind" like S, Y, E, G, P. Those accents are not so strong, and speakers often wind sound of their crying up in the halfway, or stretch long the end of their crying. They use it to maintain contacts in families, and to tell one's feelings and warn of danger. Sieg / Yip / Yap / Ain / Ekk etc are all corresponding to this.

Agur Language

[Classification] Primitive language

[Main speaker] Almost all of Agurs are extinct, but some of this language may still be kept within the Out Ring.

[Overview]

First, "Agur" was a word in Agur language that meant "beasts with hands" and their aspects - primitive Agudners. Meanwhile, "Agudner" means "humans with hands", and that word was created after they moved to Gold Ring while showing themselves - civilized Agudners.

As with Sieg, Agurs were using this word in their own language circles. Features of Agur language are muddy and low sounds such as B, G, D, P, V. Those sounds were often used. It is easy for them to pronounce. The Agur language could expresse minimum words and acts, but it specializes in expressing of dissatisfaction, intimidation, and responsibility and controling relations. Because of this, the Agur language had been eliminated as a source of conflict until establishing of Gold Ring.

Although it still can be seen when an infant Agudner is complaining, but sometimes that "dissatisfaction" is used like an expression of affection and love, so it's not necessarily constituted as a bad meaning. During the modern days, there is evidence that the Agur language is used in communication such as some jokes and booings.

Since Out Ring people include descendants of Agur, speakers keep to use Agur language that is slightly mixed with Goldringle. Especially the thieves Nevrean women preferred to use this.

タルの言語 - 概要その1

こんにちは。今回はタルにおける言語体系についてのトピックです。
この項目は将来的に膨大になる可能性があります。
そのすべてがwikiに収容されることは、おそらくはるか未来になるでしょう。あるいは、議論を必要とするかもしれません。
私は、Patreonでより多くの人がこれらの未完成な情報に関心を持ってくれることを望んでいます。

ここでは、タル - 特に、セルザーン砂漠を中心としたシーグ、レオノ、ゴールドリング、ネヴリャを連ねるエルタス人種の居住区で使われている言語について主に取り扱います。これ以外の未知の言語・文化がある可能性はありますが、現状では不明です。

今回は、概要その1の解説を行います。

ゴールドリング語

[分類]文明言語
[主な話者]GRの全種族、レオノ、後期シーグの人々。文明化されたほとんどの地域
ゴールドリング語は、その名の通りGRを中心に発展した言葉で、事実上世界の共通語となっています。
ゴールドリング語を作り上げたのはサーガルとアグドナなので、基本的に両者がはっきりと発音を区別し、言葉と意味による意思疎通に不便がないような音で作られており、多くは日本語や韓国語のように、一音と一字が対応しているのが特徴です。また、重要な特徴として、「書き文字」のルールはこの言語にしかありません。話し言葉と書き言葉（文字）にはそれぞれ別の神話や昔話が残っており、もともとは別のルーツがあったようです。エルタス人種のすべては「話し言葉よりも、書き言葉に弱い」という特徴を持っており、印鑑や古代の祠の影響など「書き文字」の獲得には、何らかの未知の外的要因が関わっているようです。サーガルとアグドナは学習による習得を必要としますが、ネウリアにとっては特に話し言葉の習得は容易なようで、他の種族を驚かせました。
文明化されたほとんどの地域の人はこの言葉を話せますが、それぞれのネイティブな言語が混じる「地方の言葉」もよく見受けられます。

シグ(Sieg)語

[分類]原始言語
[主な話者]各地のシグ（原始的なサーガル）
「サーガル」という言葉はゴールドリング語です。シグはシグ語でサーガル自体を表します。つまり、原始的なサーガル達の言葉であるということです。シーグ(Shigu)再建前のほとんどの北方サーガルがシグ語の話者ですが、原始的な南方サーガルや西方サーガルもこの言葉を使います。全ての原始言語がそうであるように、彼らは文化的な教育を受けずとも、動物のように自然にこの言葉を話します。彼らは特にS、Y、E、G、Pの"風"ような音を中心に発音し、アクセントはあまり強くなく、途中で音を切り上げたり、語尾を長く伸ばすなどで家族同士の連絡、感情や危険を伝えます。Sieg/Yip/Yap/Ain/Ekkなどは全てここに該当します。

アグー(Agur)語

[分類]原始言語
[主な話者]アグーはほぼ絶滅。アウトリングにいくらか残っている。
さて、「アグー」はアグー語で「手を持った獣」を示した言葉で、彼ら自身を指しました。「アグドナ」は、ゴールドリングに渡った彼らが、自分たちを指し「手を持った人間」と読んだ言葉です。シグと同様に、アグー達は自分たちの間でこの言葉を使っていました。アグーの言葉の特徴として、B、G、D、P、Vなどの濁った低い音が良く使われています。彼らにとって発音しやすいからです。アグー語には最低限の単語や行為の表現はあったようですが、不満や威圧、そして責任や支配関係を表現する事に特化しているため、アグー語はゴールドリング設立の際に争いの源として排除されました。幼児のアグドナが不満を言うときなどに見られますが、時には「不満」を甘えや愛情表現のように使うこともあり、必ずしも悪い意味だけではない部分もあります。現在はいくつかの冗談やブーイング等コミュニケーションの中にアグー語の形跡が見られます。アウトリングにはアグーの末裔がいるため、ゴールドリング語と混ざりながらもわずかに話者が残っています。特に盗賊のネウリアの女性はこれを好んで使うようになりました。
