Vilous | Tal's Languages - Overview Part 2 [Pre-reading the Raw Concept]

Hello Vilous fans!  This time, our Patreon update is a continuation for the prior topic of languages on Planet Tal. This subject may become extremely detailed in the future, as well as integrated into the Vilous wiki, so there may be continued discussion again someday. It is my hope that my Patreon supporters may find this ongoing information quite interesting!

Today I would like to introduce the main languages used in the Sailzane desert areas by the Eltus races, especially Shigu, Reono, Gold Ring, and Nevrea. It is quite possible there are more unknown languages and cultures, but current information is limited to these at the moment.  

 In this update, I would like to explain part 2 of the overview. Please Enjoy!!

Nevrea Language

[Classification] Primitive language

[Main speaker] Native Nevreans ("Nevrea" as original notation of race name as well as their home land name). Nevrean language is also used by Western Sergals and partially by limited urban culture(like music) though not as much as Native Nevreans 

[Overview]

The Nevrea language is still used by the Eltus in the Nevrea regions during modern times. Being an old cultivated language, Nevrea is refined and developed enough to have a complex syntax and grammar system, a rich vocabulary with sounds, numbers, and expressions for every situation. Ordinarily, this wouldn’t qualify as a primitive language, but it is nearly impossible for other races to learn and understand Nevrea without being born and raised to speak it. 

Nevrea language is unique in complicated grammar format, relying on each Nevrean’s sense of intuition, musical talent, and comprehension, making it impossible to write down. Rather, it operates in a real-time nature and delivered much like improvised music, never quite reproducing the same from person to person. Conversation sounds much like a song and is visualized by “dancing” performed simultaneously with singing. 

The rich, complex Nevrea culture had its traditions of language, gender roles, and role sharing.  Sadly, this changed and weakened in generations of Urban Nevreans, as they were cut off from the old ways by lifestyle and location.  In this way, the Nevreans who live in Gold Ring are considered an entirely different cultural group from the Native Nevreans.  However, all was not lost, as the development of music and entertainment in Gold Ring advanced rapidly after the late RC 60, as well as Sabi no Wa Ring with its origins using Nevrea language. The descendants of Western Sergals seem to be more familiar with Nevrea language and openly support and participate in this new generation of music.

Talyxian Language

[Classification] Non-verbal Communication language

[Main speaker] Talyxian Rooter / Talyxian Flora

[Overview]

The Talyxian language is mainly used by Talyxian Rooters.  While there appears to be no actual voice or gestures to this communication, the Talyxian language seems to connect like a wireless signal. There simply is no need for vocals or written words when all talk is communicated mind to mind.

If T-Rooters are in front of Eltus people, they will sometimes play out a conversation with motions and vocals to suggest a talking ability in order to communicate with the surrounding people.  In such cases, Gold Ring common language is usually used.

 Because Talyxian creatures have a vastly different biological makeup compared to Eltus creatures, the exact details and nature of their language isn’t certain.  However, from what we do know, the communication processes include concepts like “presentation”, “instruction”, “understanding”, and “consent”, rather than conversation.

 
There are other races of Talyxians that can communicate in this manner, however these creatures, including the Talyxian-Stalker, only manage an incomplete version of this.

Judda Code 

[Classification] Systematic language

[Main speaker] Any Talyxians

[Overview]

Rather than classify this as a communication language, this can be more easily explained as the ability of Talyxians to sense certain signals emitted from every Eltus, be they plant or animal.

 Even the forests themselves and the Talyxian Plants within can "catch" most of these Eltus signals and recognize their existence.

This is called "Judda Code" as a temporary name, but it is thought that it is not identifiable by any single physical stimuli such as sound, smell, temperature, etc. There are many unknown points of data within this mechanism.

Basically, Talyxians which have an intensely complex structure, seem to be able to readily identify the more complex bits of code (For example - individuals, feelings, etc.)

In addition, it can be said that there is something akin to the Judda Code which is limited to the Eltus culture, like their Judda system and the existence of Rain Silves herself.

ネブリャ語 (Nevrea Language)

[分類]原始言語

[主な話者]ネイティブネウリア (ネヴリャ)、 西方サーガルと都会ネウリアの一部。

[概要]

ネブリャ語は、現在もネイティブネウリア文化の間で使われている言語です。長期に渡って培われ、原始言語とは思えないほど有機的に洗練されており、複雑な言語体系と単語数、音数、表現の幅を持っていますが、それだけに他の種族にとってはほとんど理解も習得も不可能と言えるものになっています。

また、その複雑な文法はあまりにネウリアの感覚・身体能力に依拠しているため、音楽のようにリアルタイム性が高く、再現性は低いため、書き表すことも無理でしょう。それはほとんど歌のように聞こえ、歌と同時に行われる「踊り」によって視覚化されています。

このような有機的な文化が培われた背景には、ネイティブネウリアの雌雄の徹底した役割分担と世代交代にありました。そして、それは都会の人々からは永遠に失われました。文字通り、ゴールドリングのネウリアは別の存在になったと言えるでしょう。しかし、レイン歴60年代以降に急速に発展した「錆の輪」をはじめとしたゴールドリングの音楽や各種の娯楽は、ネウリア言語に源流があると言われています。また、西方サーガルの末裔は、ネウリア語に親しんでいる者が多く、新世代の音楽への参加を後押ししたようです。

タリクシアン語 (Talyxian Language)

[分類]通信言語

[主な話者]タリクシアン・ルーター、タリクシアン・フロラ

[概要]

タリクシアン語は、主にタリクシアン・ルーターの間で使われる言語ですが、エルタスからはただ向かい合っているように見えます。タリクシアン語は無線通信のようなものなので、口頭で発声したり、字を書いたりする必要がないからです。

エルタスの人々の前では、周囲の人にも伝えるために「会話をしている」ように見せるために発声のやりとりをしたりすることもあります。その際には主にGR語が使われています。

タリクシアンはエルタス生物とは違う構造をしているので、言語内容に詳しく言及することはできませんが、おおむね「会話」というより「提示、指示、理解、了解」というようなプロセスが行われていると考えられます。

タリクシアン・ストーカーなど他種のタリクシアンも、不完全ながら発信と受信が可能なものもいるようです。

ジュダコード (Judda Code)

[分類]システム言語

[主な話者]あらゆるタリクシアン

[概要]

これは、会話をするための言語というよりも、植物から動物まで、あらゆるエルタスから発されているある種の信号をキャッチする能力の有無と言えます。森のタリクシアン植物でさえ、ほとんどのエルタスの信号をキャッチし、その存在を認知します。

これを仮にジュダコードと呼んでいますが、それは音やにおいや温度などの何らかの単一の肉体的刺激で認知されている訳ではないと考えられ、メカニズムには不明な点が多いです。

基本的に、複雑な構造のタリクシアンになるほど、複雑なコード（例えば個人や、感情など）を認識するようになるようです。また、レインの存在やジュダ制度など、エルタス自体も限定されたジュダコードのようなものを読み取っていることが伺えます。
