Health Updates: Working Overtime (WORKOUT! 🎸)
Added 2025-12-10 19:02:19 +0000 UTCI know it isn't time for this yet, but I have so much to share in the few days since the last update 😅 BUT IT'S A GOOD THING (kind of)!
Last week I already mentioned that the Botox is working overtime. But I need to tell just HOW much overtime it is working. Because I'm extremely impressed 👀
Last Friday evening, I started to feel my pre-seizure aura, and I knew the Botox was working, so I wasn't particularly concerned, but it did prompt me to check out the air pressure again. As it turns out, poor little Myrna was in and out of seizure ranges THREE TIMES on Friday and was then back through them another 3 times in the next two days. AND NO SEIZURES! 🥳🥳🥳 It definitely still feels weird knowing that I can basically tell when I'm going through a seizure range because that's when I feel my migraine symptoms and/or auras. But I'm genuinely blown away (and so grateful) that the Botox has protected my little brain so well! 🥰
In other news, on Monday as I was leaving the grocery store (the groceries hadn't even started feeling heavy yet!) I um...I turned my body a bit to make sure I fit through the door okay with my grocery bags, and I guess my body didn't like that because I subluxed a rib again 😅😬 Here's the thing: I am generally very good at putting my ribs back into place. I just need to get to a foam roller. So I sucked it up, walked home with my arm against my side to basically act as a brace for my ribs, and then as soon as I got home, grabbed my foam roller and got to work. And I fixed it! Great! Fantastic! The muscles still hurt a bit since I walked and carried things while my rib was out of place, but they recovered pretty quickly.
Flash forward 24 hours...
My muscles were really sore yesterday. And I truly do not know why it was that bad. But late in the evening, I decided, heck it, I'm going to stretch just a little. Just gentle. That's fine, right? WRONG. 😂 Somehow in the maybe 5 minutes that I was trying to stretch super gently, I popped one of my knees slightly out of place...and my rib popped back out 🤦♀️ I BARELY EVEN STRETCHED GAHHHHH 🙈
I haven't yet gotten good at fixing my knees, so...that might be out of place a bit for a while, but usually it figured itself out eventually 😅 BUT MY DANG RIB. I had just put it back in place! So I was convinced that it was hurting because the muscles were just sore from it being out the other day. So I took an IBUprofen for any swelling and went to bed. But all night, I had to be super careful about moving 🙈
SO. This morning, I poked around my spine to feel if it was connected properly and it sure was not. 🫠 This time, the foam roller itself wasn't enough to put it right back into place (probably partially because of swelling from irritation), but I did that and the usual stretches...and then when I gave up, I decided to try a different stretch and I felt it pop back into place!!! 🥳🥳🥳
So anyway...I am a mess, but at least my body is mostly in one piece for the moment 😂👍

That is so awesome that the botox is working for you this round. That had to feel so great to know you made it through without a seizure. ngl. As I was reading the post and you mentioned early on that it was good news I was like, wait, this is getting worse and worse haha. Glad things are going decent!
