Day 5: User Interface Concepts

I am not a UI designer; I've always felt that Yandere Simulator's UI looked bad, and that various aspects of it were all going to be re-designed and replaced eventually. Over the years, I've asked various concept artists to design new UIs for the game, and as a result, I've amassed a large amount of concept artwork depicting "what could be" - the interface that Yandere Simulator could have one day.

Here, you'll find concept art for:

1. The title screen.

2. The "How To Play" screen.

3. The map of the school environment (this one is honestly really good, I should definitely make the map more like this, but there's no way to do it manually; it would have to be done manuallyby an artist).

4. The "stats" screen on the player's phone (honestly a much better design, better look-and-feel than any of the phone's current screens).

5. A few visual improvements for the matchmaking screen.

6. An animation that would play upon defeating a rival.

7. A logo animation.

8. A re-design for the game's official website.

It's also worth mentioning that some of these count as suggestions for new color schemes for the game. The game's current color scheme was...kind of a mistake. Why? Because "white on bright pink" is hard on the eyes! Argh, what a blunder!

That's possible now - you can hold down the "T" key to decide where the trail goes.

I enjoy the minimap style of having each location marked, kinda like gta in a way which is helpful, I imagine you could set your yandere trail to the desired location as a noobie

Really digging the purple on black you have going on with the logo. It's still kinda girly, but it fits the dark content of the game. But, as someone who has always liked the pink and white, I feel like I should speak in its defense! I don't know how to properly describe it, but the cuteness of the pink and white, mixed with the blood and gore of the actual game, make it unlike any other game I've played. It makes it cute-scary! :D

I like the stats screen concept, the controller map concept, the matchmaking UI concept, and the map screen concept. Such simple changes give the UI a whole new feel.
