20 per day
Black faction needs to recruit 20 combat units per day to maintain their forces. Doesnt sound like much, but over the 4 years of a combat units contract thats 30,048.
Of the 20, 4 will be expended. Most will go to sectors where they are there as purely deterrence.
Typically its a 1 in 5 chance of getting taken out. Which is quite risky.
