I experimented a bit with this one. Instead of making my panels super clean and straight, I let them be kinda messy. Maybe a little TOO messy, but I think it's a nice direction.
Still tying to figure out what to draw for the cover page. I like to challenge myself for those, but maybe I'm just overthinking things. If all else fails, I have to just go with my gut.

I'm starting to feel better now. This was supposed to be this week's stand in but I finished it a lot sooner than I thought. I even managed to get out a nice sketch of "Teen Mado". But now, I'm sitting here like "now, what? I finished the one thing I planned to do already."
August is around the corner, so maybe I can get a head start on setting up goals for then.

I really wanted to just show the siblings being siblings. I kept thinking about the "little things" we do to get on each other's nerves and this sprung out from it. Bri is probably one of my least utilized characters, and it was a fantastic opportunity to give her some screen time.

This is one of these times where I start asking myself "Am I doing too much?" I wanted to experiment a little, but MAYBE I should reel it back some. Mostly the backgrounds. They take me a long time, so I typically avoid them, but this time, I really wanted to add something to fill things out more. It all just feels so... empty.
But this should be a case of "do better next time" and not ...
It's astounding how fast things are going right now, I'm more pumped than ever! But I need to stop myself from doing too much before I burn myself out again. It's a thin line to walk for sure.

Unlike most new OCs, I actually have a plan for this one. I can't wait for y'all to see what I have lined up for her. Back to THIS comic though, I guess this is the first in a new format I'm trying out. Instead of just 4 panels or 1 page comics, I'm going for 2 plus a spicy pin-up to act as a cover of sorts. Looks like we're ahead of schedule for once! The plan was to just have Pages 4-6 done by now, but I was able to squeeze out two more pages today. Only two more pages left! Hell, I could probably finish this all up this week! I guess we'll see. This is just a testament to how far a simple deadline can push someone.

FINALLY! It has a name. Most of the time spent went towards making things more "dynamic" (like in pages 3 and 4). I really like drawing dynamic poses and angles, but they take a while. But I think it was worth it to make things a bit more interesting.
By next week, I'd like to have pages 4 and 5 done, and the cleaned up sketches for pages 6-10. After that, we can go full speed...
