The real fabric is cut! This material is not very fun to work with, but it is very soft... :)
Also starring Emma tummy, which does not come out to play very often. I'll have to get used to it, though, since Perona's skirt and shirt are nowhere near each other...

Ignoring the height of the skirt (hers is a lowrider), check out my mock-up for Perona's skirt! I'm off to a good start... I can't believe I got the right shape on my first try! Tonight at sewing night, I hope to get it cut out of and sewn from the real fabric~
The skirt is fairly basic in shape, but there's a lot I have to add to it. It will take a lot more complex work than the massive ballgow...

I'm so happy, I could cry.
This costume took WAY LONGER THAN IT SHOULD HAVE to sew. I had so much completed in January, and then February and March just dragged it out forever... I was losing confidence and getting stressed out both over cosplay and work.
But I did it! And I will hopefully have a shoot for her before all the snow disappears... Just gotta trim the bangs on the wig.

As I near Silky's completion, I have been collecting odds and ends to get Perona started.
We've got red boots identical to Junko's black pair with extra red material to make her straps, red ruffles for her sleeves, red velvet for her mini skirt and cape......... There's an awful lot of red going on here! White and black to follow.
I have ideas for how to make the crown, umbrella, and ghost...

Okay, the skirt is NOT actually in one piece - I hemmed the bottom and added the ruffle trim to it, but it is currently just a 5m rectangle of fabric mashed onto my mannequin to keep it from flopping around on the ground.
Shouldn't take long to finish it (once I find a night to sew, that is...), but all my ironing was in vain. Look at that wrinkled mess!
