Beautiful ballad with big extended chords. I had a little trouble to name those big Em chrods. I think there are many ways to name those chords but i wanted to keep things as simple as possible...so i named those chords like Em9 with different root note. Like Em9/C and Em9/B.

Overdriven rhythm guitar parts are "LIVE 2017 ACCORDING TO LUKE" There is little, if any rhythm guitar on recorded album version.
Live in Paris heroic outro solo, is a true master piece. I tried to get as close as possible to the original.
In bar 83 it is hard to say what Lukather is playing for sure, but what i can tell...

First chorus is pretty basic arpeggio forms based on given chord names.
Chorus 2 is little more challenging. Some tricky arpeggios (bars 19-20 and 23-24 were hardest for me) And also some chord substitutions

Few words...bass transcription is pretty close to original but it´s not 100% but i think you get very good idea what is going on. Once again outro solo is improvised based on larrys solo. Transcription is what you hear on the record.

I have always been playing this song in key C. So i tuned my guitar half step up for this video. In standard tuning play everything half step higher. This is great song to expand your chord vocalubary.

DAMN ME! I totally forgot that those natural harmonics are played differently last time on the first chorus. If you check out the tabs it´s "played" right there, i played it wrong. One other thing, Trevor seems to play the main clean guitar riff slightly different on their live version. This is how it goes on the studio version.

Hi,
Intro is borrowed from Toto´s 1979 live version. In studio version there is no guitar.
This is great exercise for your triads and how to use them to substitute seventh chords. For example if you play F triad you can think it´s Dm7 without the root.

A Verse In studio version Luke plays chords same way both times. Transcription is his live version where there is little more movements in chord voicings. Feel free to choose your way ;)
