Other news: a have an injury in my drawing wrist that might require a minor extraction surgery to fix, so that's exciting. I don't think it will impede my comic making ability too long but I'll keep you guys updated.

More wip for my very slow coming post on RttS Artificial Intelligence. This is Nabi Nabu, Bip's 'mother.' A little info page I'm putting on the inside cover, so people who pick up my booklet and know nothing about my world building can know what I'm talking about, lol.
Just kidding, I think the story works fine standalone, but extra details are fun to include for the curious reader.
I may make some edits before the final 40 page booklet gets printed, but this will do for the promo booklet. Figuring out the color for the islands was weird because avian vegetation is black and blue.

I was thinking about some of the more mundane-ish GMO pets in Runaway to the Stars, and the one that immediately came to mind is giant house cats, because, well, I would adopt one in a heartbeat. I've yet to think of a snappier breed title for them.
Giant house cats come in a variety of standard colors and fur lengths, and the biggest healthy specimens top out around 100 pounds....

I've been trying to work on the innards of the Runaway spacecraft's living space, which is easier said than done because I have to design a bunch of appliances that work in both 1g and microgravity and fit the needs of 4 different species (more if you count GMHs). The toilet has been especially frustrating. Good news is, if I design an awkward-to-use all species toilet, it's realistic ergonomics.....

This species design was originally created to be like... gnomes by way of marmosets by way of meerkats. I felt like the way I've been drawing them was not as primate-y as I wanted, so I made some strategic tweaks (and actually figured out what the palms and soles look like). This is a desert gnome, but the same tweaks more or less apply to the other varieties.
