RttS: Centaur Skull and Head Anatomy

Once again I am super bad at being decisive about bone morphology. Some things of note, though: The jaw adductors are on the inside of the skull, kind of like the muscles that close the valves of a clam. They are capable of delivering a bite powerful enough to crack pretty much any bone that can comfortably fit inside their jaws. It's also a lot easier to see how the skull is arranged to handle...

Some Walk/Run Cycles

Trying to get better at these. 

I just started the Talita walk last night. Bird-like head stabilization on so large an animal is kind of eerie? Also it's very satisfying to watch the huge mass of back muscles rolling over the mid shoulder. 

Poor Shyam has to take almost 3.5 strides for every Talita stride. Here's my proposed solution to that issue:

Unisex Flag Update

Fooling around more with iconography. The unisex flag used to be much more similar to the most common intersex flag (purple circle on a yellow field) but I decided I didn't want to make that strong an association between my made up single-sex humans and actual intersex people... it seems a little tone deaf.

RttS: Talita's Wardrobe

Trying to figure out more of Talita's closet. She doesn't have a lot of clothes, all in all, so it's not that big an undertaking. Spacers generally don't have huge wardrobes because there is less material access to premade clothing away from planetary-scale industry, so compared to goundies, spacers tend to have less clothes that are higher quality that they paid more for and repair more often....

Terranaut: Rough Pages 42

Back to making very slow progress on Terranaut. I wanted to get this out sooner but I'm away from home and had more writing to catch up on than I remembered. I'm tempted to switch back to paper rough pages for this story since it's been more convenient being able to take my work out of the house recently.

RttS: Facial Tic

This is the animation equivalent of a speedpaint because I did it in one 5-hour-ish sitting. Everything goes much faster with thick lines.

Animation WIP: More Hexapodal Gaits

I decided that considering how many possible gaits there are for hexapodal motion, I wanted to try portraying at least 3. This is a "rolling" walk, alternating tripod trot, and the same sprint animation from the previous WIP post, getting closer to being refined. I decided that I makes more sense for centaurs to mostly stabilize their head while they walk or run, sort of like a bird.

Arrgghh, why are static run cycles harder than making a character walk through frame? This needs a lot more work but unfortunately it's low priority right now and I have more important things to be fiddling with.
