Last summer with José Piña in June '24, Berlin - part 3

Good evening & hello to the new year :)

I started slowly and quietly into 2025 and - as you've probably noticed - took the first week off. That was nice. I honestly love the beginning of January, lots of people don't, I know, but to me it always feels like the world is still a bit asleep. It's okay to take longer to answer, to not be reachable all the time, to enjoy long mornings (cau...

True Blue - live at Sternatelier5, Vienna

This morning, when I thought about what I’ll share with you today, I immediately got the feeling that it’s gonna be my song ‚True Blue‘. You‘ve heard the earliest draft, as a piano improvisation back in Oct‘23 (it’s Sunday piano meditation no. 5!), then as a song draft, and I think I’ve never shared the finished song. Jamie and I took a while to complete the lyrics, I had some i...

Sunday piano meditation - no. 36

Hellou there, it's piano sunday again! :) After having two busy gig days, this was the perfect chilled start into my day, really need some off-time now after having so many people swirling around me. But it was great honestly! The concert on friday (I was opening for Ani D.) went much smoother and sweeter than I expected, lots of people showed up in the end - and Ani was very happy with the who...

Portuguese analogues + print update

Good evening from Berlin - I had some very social last days, with family and friends, and I must say that my social batteries are a bit in need of an alone-time-recharge now. However I will head out again in a few minutes to make my way to Kindl Stuben, Sonnenallee, Berlin to play at their traditional sunday eve open mic session, as promised. Always very sweet vibes there :)

Tomorrow I wi...

Sain by Marius Nitzbon

A friend of mine asked me last week, if I could record a little snippet of me playing his newest release „Sain“ on my harp. It’s a bit slower than the original, but was the perfect lullaby for the friends who were staying over at my place last week (unfortunately they got really sick inbetween, while I played this they were resting and listening on the couch in the living room).

More prints!

Hi there! Today I have exciting news! Daniel A. and I finally decided the new prints - and made this selection :)

As you can see there are four new pictures (initially we wanted to select three more but then couldn’t decide which one to exclude so we are gonna go for all four haha) - plus the three motives of the first edition.

So please, in order to see how many approximately w...

Summertime with José Piña - part 2

Hi there! You may have seen the first one of these on our Instagram accounts last week - so I thought I show you some more here :)

And I wanna tell you a little secret too: My first Single Cover ('I was a Dreamer) will be chosen from this summertime shoot by the lake. Hopefully I can bring some light into the dark winter months with it :)

Unfortunately I'll have a lot of bureaucrac...

Weekly piano meditation - no. 35

Good evening everyone, here I am, belayed again - some sickness caught me and I'm still trying to get rid of it, the last days have felt very loopy, but it's getting better already. I went to a little Yin Yoga Session of a friend of mine last night and that was lovely for my mind and body - in general I'm really enjoying autumn this year (have I mentioned that already?) so I have no problem wit...

Summer by Daniel Anhut - part 2

Here is the second part of our summery shoot in Berlin, we'll also release our second prints editition soon - it will be homestories pictures again, but eventually I'll use those nature shots too, still very happy how they turned out :)

Besides that I'm still having busy days, lots of friends I met all around Europe within the last years are in Vienna this autumn and my mum is arriving to...

Sunday piano meditation - no. 34 (belated)

Hi there! Yesssss, it is piano meditation time again! I'm so excited about having my cute pianino here with me in my new flat, finally! It was about time :))

I played this melody for the first time right before the transportation company arrived at my old place, on Tuesday morning. I heard it and thought, uhh I can use this idea for the first recording at my new flat, when I'm finally abl...

Analogues from September '24

I'm over and over again so happy about this tiny analogue Agfa camera from my grandfather - its a small format camera, so it can fit up to 80 photos on one normal 36 pictures film, which gives me the freedom to fool around and take shots of anything I like, without the pressure of just 36 frames, yay :)

These ones were taken during September, partly Vienna and partly in Berlin.

Final Studio Session 3/5 - ‚Lose Myself‘

Heyyy there! It's time for some music again :)

This is a sneakpeak from my upcoming album, finally, it's getting real (ahhhh). The last studio days are over now, Tim & I had five more sessions within the last week to really get stuff done and ready for mastering. Who released music themselves already knows howwwww much work it is to get the perfect sound, the perfect arrangement, the ...

Sunday piano meditation - no. 33

Hi there! Guess what, today I have a (belated) piano improvisation for you! And I'm actually sitting again in my home in Vienna, yesterday's trip was a wild one... But I made it in the end. :)

For the ones who haven't heard of it - big parts of Austria are either flooded or under heavy snowfalls, the last week here was crazy, many people have lost their homes, villages had to be evacuated...

Prints with Daniel Anhut (and some analogues)

Good evening everyone!

I‘m sending you this from my couch, after tidying up most of the construction stuff, tools, laying around wood for the kitchen counter etc. - doing everything possible yourself is fun but also exhausting (but yay, most of the kitchen makeover is done now, finally!).

I’m again unfortunately not able to send you a piano piece, the move of my precious instru...

Good night (guten Abend, gut' Nacht) - lyrics

When I don't remember dreaming

I know you've been watching me

When I see your clouded mind drowning again

I hear you singing to me, I hear you now

I cut flowers in your garden

they smelled just like you did yesterday

tried to choose the ones that you'd dry upside down

I think you'd like them, honey

I think you would

Good night,...

Hi there & my apologies that I didn't write to you last sunday - the last weeks have been intense for me. First that summerjob, then packing and moving to a new place, which we are still renovating these days. Not gonna lie, I'm really happy about all of this, but also quite exhausted right now.
At this time last sunday we had just finished moving all the furniture, instruments, plants &...

Good Night (Guten Abend, gute Nacht) - demo

Hey there - I've been working in Klosterneuburg all week long, walking an immense amount of steps per day, talking to a lot to customers - and apparently lost my voice doing that... So I'll share my latest finished demo with you, which I recorded on 2nd of August. I made small lyric changes since then, but overall it stayed the same. I find it very soothing, basically feels like what the lyrics...

Throwback to Italy 🌊

Some more photographic insights from the sailing trip I did in June - really missing the ocean right now!

I will work the whole week in Vienna on a wine competition, it’s fun but also very physically exhausting, so forgive me if I’m not very talkative today. Yesterday I was also on the move the whole time so I couldn’t get the post ready - in the evening I spontaneously watched the ...

New german song with Max Nitsch :)

Today I want to share a new song with you - I wrote it this week with my dear friend Max, whom I have a german duo project with (Nitsch&Verano, as simple as that, haha). We played in Graz, Austria last Thursday and wanted to perform this one, so we needed to finish writing the lyrics - and I love how they turned out! Honestly the best lyrics we wrote together in my opinion, I really like th...

I'm talking about going to Milano there - now I'm already back in Vienna, I really enjoyed the short time there, my host was super sweet (and I absolutely fell...

Sunday piano draft - no. 3 (belated)

Hellou & good evening - I'm back home! Unfortunately I spent my whole Sunday sitting in a train from Switzerland (Murg, St. Gallen to be precise) to Vienna, so I couldn't record anything for you there. Little impression of my concert last Friday - I was so lucky that the sunset light was shining directly on me while I was playing. It created such a magical atmosphere and fit perfectly with my set :)

Hellou there! As you can see I'm talking about plenty of things in this voice message, recapturing what happened during the last weeks since I talked last to you :)

Holidays in shades of blue & pink

some analogue impressions of last weeks, freshly developed today - love the vibe and the colours of them. And I'm so so so happy, that I could be part of this experience (again). Wish I'd still be there, but I arrived back in Vienna this morning.

Might record another travel-podcast about my last days, honestly they were quite adventurous :)
