Good grief! Okay, the next chapter will get the hunt going. Hope this stuff isn't too boring!

Sometime around midnight, Valla went to bed, and Victor sat by himself on the balcony, endlessly entertained by the sea of lights that stretched away from the citadel. Beyond the city wall was a sea of darkness, not a sing...

Okay, folks - we're about halfway through what I've planned for book 2. I think it's time to lift the veil a little and provide some tension through a bit of a revelation. There's a POV shift at the end of this chapter. Let me know what you think; does it work for you as a reader? Does it keep you interested? Is it too obvious? Would you rather be left in the dark (like Juliet)?

“That’s right,” Victor growled, growing irritated by the black-plated guard’s questioning. “War Captain Black wanted me to check in, to tell him about my experience with the Ancestor Shard.”

I'd imagined the interlude between the arena and the hunt to be a chapter or two, but this makes number seven. I think book four might end up longer than the first three.

Here's today's installment. Funny how fast 3k words can go; was going to include the Artificer scene in this chapter, but it would've made it pretty lopsided. We'll get there!

Here we go! Here's a little ret-con: On orientation day, I originally had Cherise explain that each unit had two sergeants and a captain. I realized that was way too much command for a six-person unit. I've changed it to indicate that each unit has two sergeants. Commanders are not actively deployed. This will come up a few times, but the first time is in this chapter! Enjoy :)

“Ah! Victor! The champion of the lower tier tourney, everyone!” The warlord’s words held a tint of amusement that bordered on scorn, at least in Victor’s mind, and he had a hard time finding a friendly expression as he strode toward the dais. O...

Hey everyone! I'm struggling with a creative subtitle for volume two. The first one is Cyber Dreams, Part One: Electric Angel.
I had an idea that I kind of like, but I'm not sure if I have a weird bias and if it's actually terrible:
Cyber Dreams, Part Two: Ghost Chrysalis
I like this title because it's kind of hinting at chan...

Enjoy the chapter, everyone. I'm listening to feedback - More Angel and Juliet learning things is on the menu. Hope you all have a nice evening. I have an AMA on /r/litrpg over on Reddit tonight at 5 PM PST (8 PM EST). It's ostensibly for the release of my Victor of Tucson book, but I'll be happy to answer questions or talk about any of my stories, including Cyber Dreams.

When the portcullis clanked open, Victor was ready. He had his game face on, Lifedrinker in his hands, and he felt nearly a hundred percent, physically. He strode into the passage leading up to the arena floor with purpose and vigor, and then a shadow separated itself from the wall and said, “Hold, gladiator.”

Hi Patrons,
Here's tomorrow's chapter a little early! I hope you enjoy it.
