After many failed attempts, this is the current working model I have ended up with for Drew Drachmann.
Working with fat characters poses some unexpected difficulties. For example, I wanted to give Drew a nice sprinkling of a neckbeard but I need to figure out how to get the textures to bind to the outer morph layer and not the original one which produces a poor looking result.
Here are some of the better random renders I made trying out various hairstyles for Taylor. There is also a princess Taylor one at the end.
There are a lot of transformations and stories within Transfigure so there is an opportunity to try out quite a diverse wardrobe of looks and styles.
