Almost two years (!) after reviewing Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, I got back in the saddle for Sonic Generations. This was, at the time, the biggest, longest, and most complex video I'd ever done. I captured all of my own footage, and there's like, 15-20 games featured in the introductory "History" segment alone. Despite this, this review still only took me a week and a half to put together....

Better Late Than Never closes out 2009 with a look at both Shenmue games. I used to be real proud of this review, but looking back now it is a little scattershot. From here, BLTN reviews sort of drop off quite a bit in frequency considerably.

I'd heard the Sonic Boom patch smoothed out the framerate in the travel segments, but either I picked a really bad location to compare or the difference is almost imperceptible. Will investigate further after I get some sleep and maybe re-write part of my video review. In the mean time, have this and decide for yourself.

I need some Sonic 2006 footage for my upcoming Rise of Lyric videos (for comparison purposes), and during that I happened upon this. I swear, every time I play this game, I find something new that's broken. Despite my Roxio Gamecap saying it was set to 720p, this recorded in 480i. Sorry about that.

Here's a weird bug that's definitely going in one of my Rise of Lyric videos: Amy calls out to Perci, an NPC we meet earlier in the game. It seems that maybe she was supposed to have a mission where she joins you in combat at some point in this cave area. In the game as it is now, Perci never leaves her spot in the village. It wouldn't surprise me if her combat mission was cut for time. Take note ...
