Autumn (comic 103)
Mike looked at the bookshelf in the living room of the modern suburban house. He scanned the framed pictures of the homeowners as if he didn’t live there. The photos told a story. It was a story so unlikely, if he hadn’t lived through it himself he probably wouldn’t believe it.
On the far left was Autumn in her senior year of high school, looking cute and skinny and innocent as ever...
2022-10-02 21:10:48 +0000 UTC View PostNeither Mike nor Autumn had interest in a big expensive wedding. The pandemic had changed them in many ways, and like so many others, they had grown accustomed to the more antisocial existence that had become the new normal for the past two years. Besides, COVID-19 was dying an excruciatingly slow death, as even in April of 2022 it seemed that people were still testing positive for the virus at...

God that smell.
Since quitting he seemed to be able to detect the scent of cigarettes everywhere.
It was the odor of temptation and he wanted one so bad he could almost taste it.

2022-09-14 21:49:42 +0000 UTC View PostThe world appeared to normalize as summer cooled into fall. The Anytime Fitness on the street level of their apartment building reopened, as well as the Google Campus where Mike worked.
Being true to his word, he did wake up at 5 am his first full week back to make Autumn a hearty pancake and bacon breakfast before heading off for the day, but it was a difficult routine to keep up and by ...

Mike may not have been much for breakfast, but he made up for it by being a dessert fanatic. With COVID-19 still spreading like wildfire, and a return to work nowhere in sight, he had gotten in the habit of not eating anything during the day, and consuming all of his calories in the evenings.
He liked this routine because it made Autumn less self-conscious about matching him in portion si...

Mike loaded the dishwasher then ran upstairs like a twelve year old boy. He found Autumn in the bedroom, struggling to fit into a pair of skinny jeans. Reminiscent of the last time he saw her trying to squeeze into too small jeans, he could tell right away it was going to be a losing effort, so he spoke hesitantly. “Do you like em?”
She gave him a look. “Yeah, (gasp) but, I don’t ...

The whole cake?
Had she gone crazy, or was she really as turned on and intoxicated by her expanding body and unapologetic gluttony as he was? Perhaps she just loved the undivided attention, and being doted on in ways she never imagined.
As surprised as he was, Mike wasn’t about to...

Things went on like that over the next month or so. Autumn went to the gym a few times per week, but her job at Oracle was proving to be more taxing than her previous position. She got up early and worked straight through until 5, and when she was done she usually had enough energy to eat dinner and not much else.
By the time March came around however, she seemed to be making progress wit...
