At the end of the day, after a very long session of crutching, I wanted to relax a bit. I went to the campus and as every Sunday, it was empty. I put my walking shoe on and started walking to stretch my leg a bit. I also didn't miss the opportunity to paint my nails in bright red to match my pink cast. What do you think? This was the day I crutched the most in my life. That's why I took a couple of breaks for me to rest and for you to see my toes from closer than usual. Now I can say my crutches are good for all kinds of terrains: Wood, asphalt, concrete, gravel, grass... you name it. Even though I suffered for a bit in the end I can't wait for my next adventure in crutches, maybe next time in a LLC?

I can't say I loved being back in crutches. I don't have many opportunities to practice and every time is like the first. It's so hard holding all the weight of my body with my arms... But I didn't want to spoil my pristine cast so that was the only option. Anyway I hope I get better for future occasions. I'll admit I have to do it more often so I don't lose practice.

What a better way to spend a saturday than getting a short leg cast and discovering the places that are close to home but you still never visited.
I loved everything about this set: How smooth the cast was, the color, how I got to crutch for very long without the fear of being discovered and even using the cast shoe when I got tired of the crutches.

A proper caster's Christmas is not complete without the themed cast. In this case it was a finger spica applied by my boyfriend, who gave me a few challenges to do while my arm was restricted. Can't let Christmas go without showing you how bad of a job I did setting up the Christmas Tree. I have an excuse though: The short arm finger spica in my dominant arm wasn't making it any easier. Crutching can be really hard on your back, especially when you are already in pain. That didn't keep me from spending the day in an awesome LLC and showing it to everyone that passed by.
The weather was nice and the bright white fiberglass cast attracted lots of eyes. The padding and the hardness felt so good embracing my whole leg. I hope you enjoy this video

My boyfriend and I had to travel to a distant city and what better occasion to show off a long leg cast than that. We couldn't check in at the hotel until noon, so we decided to apply it in public. Some people saw us and even the police passed by. Luckily we weren't doing anything illegal so they didn't say anything to us.

Imagine for a moment you break both arms and at the doctor's office they only have enough material for one cast. Well, if the doctor is as much a sadist as my boyfriend they sure will put you in such a predicament.
For this challenge my arms were fused together as one, essentially turning me into a human basketball hoop.

As Evelyne got a SLWC we couldn't miss the opportunity to see her using crutches, right? Even though she told me this was her first time using them she seems only natural.
