The Crawling Horrors

Crawling horrors have burrowed their way in and infested this part of the dungeon.

The Temple of the Ancients

I drew this map with some sort of an ancient base in mind. I added some features similar to the Engineer tunnels and chambers in Prometheus.

Webs and Caves

This strange cave can be a home to spiders or what ever weird creatures that dwell underground in caves carved into ground.

The Gambler's Fortune

The draft for this map was actually drawn by my 7 year old daughter and this turned into a luxury cargo shuttle with a cargo hold and loading ramp at the front and an elevated bridge at the center of the ship.  this ship is manufactured in three different colors, silver, gold and matte black.

Lakeside Cottage

As the summer is coming, I decided to draw a map of a Finnish style lakeside summer cottage with a sauna, an outhouse, a wood shed and a small pier.

Curse of the Sphinx

Only the wise and brave can go past the sphinx and enter the tomb of king Aumathuk. Those who are foolish enough to defy the sphinx will be cursed!

Gorgon Lair

This spiraling cave is full of uncannily life-like statues. Most of them are in very dynamic poses. Like they would capture someone in the middle of doing something. Most of the statues have the expression of fear, anger or desperation on their faces.

Victor Base (Area 01)

This is the first map of the Victor Base. A long-term project where I'm going to make a big base from multiple individual maps that can be connected in various ways or used as stand-alone maps.

Temple in the Woods

Here's a small dungeon with some secret passages. I've been testing this style to annotate the secret doors for a few times now, but I think it still needs some work.

The Ritual in the Woods

Another iPad experiment. Also, I wanted to draw some other location than a cave or a dungeon. So, I ended up making something that the character's might stumble upon while travelling.

Chimera Lair

This map was a bit of a test. I have used my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil to color (and draw) maps before, but this time I wanted to really work on my workflow.

My aim is to draw more maps on iPad, but also to color inked & scanned maps. I really would like to have more color maps made. Alone for the reason that they look much better, but they also have more atmosphere when used on...

Map Ideas Wanted!

Map ideas for March are welcome. Anything specific you might need?

We are playing a modern anti-paranormal agent campaign, so something along those lines might be coming in any case. Also, I would like to draw something for sci-fi settings. I already have a military outpost themed map pending, but other ideas are welcome as well.

The Temple of Five Gods

This map was drawn on a small notepad for a very particular reason. I wanted to keep the map as compact as possible. Also, I used this map to test another way of marking secret doors. I'm not still sure if I prefer the old way I'm more used to, but I was told that this way would work better in virtual tabletop use.

Two versions of the map (very high resolution) are included with thi...

Vampire Catacombs

I meant to draw a catacomb already last month, but that ended up being a cantina or an underground tavern. So, this month I drew a catacomb for real. To have some sort of an unique feature, I added a chamber that's a bit different than the rest of the catacombs. And the first thing that came to my mind was that there are of course a bunch of vampires sleeping in these coffins.

Swamp Temple

I was on a coffee break when I drew this map and yet again there was another dungeon entrance. I was thinking how I could make this somehow different from the most other maps. Then I decided to draw water around the entrance. There you go a swamp temple... or where ever you need this to be to work for you :D

Asteroid Base B66

I wanted to have something clearly science fiction themed this month and I thought that an asteroid base with a force field hangar bay door is always a safe bet for that :D

B66 could be a smuggler or pirate hideout, a mercenary base or even a small listening outpost.

Two versions of the map (very high resolution) are included with this post.

Temple Below the Ruins

Personally I love the idea that there is something hidden lying below some ruined building. In this map there are ruins of an temple on a small hill and then the hidden caverns and a temple below it.

Also, this month I ended up drawing three maps with a row of five statues. These maps can be easily used together for a longer adventure or even a mini-campaign with this common theme.<...

Lakeside Fortress

When I drew this map I was thinking of some kind of a fortress built on the side of a large rock next to the shore. I ended up leaving the interior plain because I think that this could be used in both fantasy and scifi settings that way quite easily.

The Underground Cantina

I started this as a catacomb map, but then I was struck by an idea that I could really use the layout, but make it into something completely different. And so this turned into an underground cantina. There are multiple areas with shady alcoves and multiple tables, but there's also a VIP lounge and a gambling room. Next to the VIP lounge there's a secret office leading to a hidden storage room w...

The Mountain Temple

This map started out as a bit of a practice. I wanted to make a map with overlapping passages and tunnels. I got some done, but not as much as I hoped for. Maybe next time...

Anyhow, this map turned out to have a couple of interesting ideas starting from bars blocking the way and working as an incentive to find an alternative route, and a trapdoor that might drop the adventurers int...

The Griffon Halls

With this map I wanted to make a dungeon of sorts that is actually hanging above the sky or a huge drop. There are a few places with ledges or huge drops where interesting fights or other scenes could be played out. Also, wanted to add the big griffon statue as a center piece for this map. Maybe it's an animated statue or a magically petrified griffon – who knows...

The Temple of the Minotaur

This dungeon can be an old temple or a part of a larger dungeon complex. The most important part of this dungeon is the temple with a huge statue of a bull-headed god. The temple is guarded by a minotaur or several minotaurs, depending on which will serve your purpose the best. Besides the minotaurs the maze could include other dangers, like different fungi, oozes and maybe some sort of giant i...

The Hag's House

The inspiration for this map came from the idea that what if there was a river that could be crossed only by going through a haunted house of sorts. Well, the environment didn't become as restrictive as I originally intended, but still this could be an interesting encounter in the middle of a dungeon. Myself I get a bit of Hansel & Gretel vibes from this :)
