Currently, my workflow for drawing guns (not that anyone has seen any), is to rough out a gun's general shape, then go out on the web looking for images in roughly the same perspective that I can trace.  This is really tedious and time-consuming.  Furthermore, the guns never really fit in the character's hand and just looks awkward.  So I figure it was time to bite the bullet...<...
