Cha Ming had grown much stronger since fusing his three energies and consuming the Flamewing Demiplane. This had several consequences, one of them being that he could no longer enter weaker planar fragments without causing them to collapse.
Though he could not enter them, he could still directly refine them using the Star Void Spirit Refining technique.
