I managed to get to the point where I can show some result. Took a while for me to just checking and analyzing the model, this is a a very heavy one, mesh and texture-wise. In fact just viewing the model with all textures including masks applied lags or even crashing my Blender. Time to upgrade my PC I guess.

This is a commission. The character is from older engine than Dragon Engine used in newer Yakuza games. The head mesh is OK but I had to smooth out the hair and rig it from scratch. Remember that you can use HS2PE advanced mode to manipulate the hair bones should the hair physics messed up in some poses/animation.

I smooth the hair out since the blockiness kinda prominent in my opinion. I might try to reduce dithering in the hair as well, but dithering is something we have to live with in HS2 (because Illusion being Illusion). Pic above used Graphics mod but without Next-Gen Shader.

I decided to take another commission for 3rd release of the month. The character in question is obscure one, even in the game series she came from. In Yakuza 5, one of playable character there is Haruka, which I have ported to HS and HS2 (albeit Yakuza 6 version of the character). For some reason the head mesh is more difficult than other KOF mods I made so far. The UV has some weirdness, almost like broken. Maybe something happened during extraction process. But anyway I got past the hard part and I'm satisfied with the result.

The model used is from Dissidia NT that has better quality than the original FFXIII. Hair is a bit tricky, in default lighting there's some kind of transparency issue and if that's bothering you, change hair rendering type to type 2 in chara maker (hair tab). However when using graphics mods the issue is completely gone.

As mentioned before I'm using Lightning model from Dissidia NT because the quality is higher. Not super high quality by modern standard but still better than the original model from FFXIII. One major thing to tackle is the hair. First, HS2 usual problem with transparency and dithering. There's a spot smack dab in the middle where the transparency doesn't look right.
