Wanted to give you a little behind scenes. I'm attempting to rescue this 1991 E31 850i from Spain. It's been off the road for 12+ years, doesn't run and somehow ended up with a shady car dealer. A big issue with the car is that there are no documents, all important papers that are needed for export are lost.
But even bigger issue is that the seller is a complete idiot. The ad didn't have any...

Part 5 of project Cologne! A bit different one as we have a guest upholsterer (subscriber) who fixed up my Individual Sport seat and I pretty much tear the interior into pieces. First pic of the E38 on the Ring drops here!
Overall had a great time, took it really easy on the track and it held up well. My primary goal was not to touch armco and have cool pictures taken so mission success!
I stopped by Apex and sadly didn't workout with Misha timewise to do a lap. I did film my lap so it'll be in the next video!
First wash after paint correction and ceramic coating being applied. Detailed the interior too. Still in disbelief how good this turd turned out.

318i with a blown engine, same color as my Touring and has decent options: xenon, parking sensors, electric seats, power folding mirrors, sunroof, climate comfort windshield... gonna be a great parts car!

The E46 Touring is finally where it belongs, back on the road! Got the plates today and went for a first drive on the Autobahn which went drama free. Drives great and it just reminded me how slow a normal car can feel after driving an M5 all these years, but it is a nimble and fun car to drive. Very happy overall.

About 4 days of intense paint correction and polishing, this turd is shining bright like a diamond. I find it pretty impressive that it still wears its original paint and I managed to remove a lot of defects from the clear coat.
