So here I used an asset in the room I built (in this case a hot tub) and used its outer edge as the foreground and also used the environment in the background. I set the angle in 3DX based on the camera angle I set in DAZ. I paid attention to the lighting in 3DX and made adjustments on the character in DAZ. I feel I got a good result. I wanted to test the concept of using a 3DX Chat background with DAZ would wotk. The background is The Lake, an asset I built. I set it to the highest resolution and largest screen setting and I think it turned out ok. For it to work, DAZ must be adjusted to the 3DX Chat lighting. To do anything indoors will mean me recreating a DAZ asset in 3DX Chat - at least the basics.

When Neri finds her kin in chapter 3, there is so much turmoil and excitement around the rescue and her almost death she does not realize one of them is missing. The Lost Droll is part of the story and lore of Hon'Raa and the reader will find out in a later chapter what has happened to her.
