Hello! Two things:
1) I've mailed out all the packages including Uncanny Rally, Big Bang Superstars and Cluedon't - UK people should have 'em by today, and everyone else should receive them within the next fortnight.
2) This month's game may be a little late. It'll still arrive in September BUT it's changed from a one-page game into a charming little booklet, so it needs a bit more ...

Hello!
Quick update: For those of you who get physical copies of the games, I've just sent off Uncanny Rally, Big Bang Superstars and Cluedon't off to Mixam. I should get the prints next week!
Sasha had two ideas for roleplaying games: something about ADD and something about Himbos. (And also: shimbos, thembos, etc.) I went for the easier option.
For the uninitiated: ...

Creating games with other designers has been an interesting experience, and the most interesting part of it so far has been trying to keep up with Chloe Mashiter's tremendous, no-brakes-downhill, feverish trumpet solo of a mind. They have multiple ideas per second, and most of those ideas are pretty good.
We sat in my gar...

HELLO AND WELCOME to my first of twelve collaborations - a game I made with Chris McDowall about trying to talk normally whilst being unable to talk normally and, if you do something weird, your arm turns into a big cannon which causes problems at your new job. Something which we all have experience of, I'm sure.
(If you want to learn more about Chris McDowall, and why wouldn't you, you c...

To physical backers: I'm sorry that I haven't sent out the paper copies of the games for the last three months yet. All the back pages are done but I'm going to send out all four of them later on this month - Once Upon a Crime, Predestined, Administrative Carnage and FETCH, which is attached below. All the back pages are written and illustrated and ready to go to the printers.
I've made t...

Right, so:
I've been doing this "one game a month" malarkey for five years, now. I've only missed one month out of the many available - two months, if you count the 20,000-word Adventure Calendar as missing a month, which I don't, so there. I'm up to 52 or so.
I often joke that I ran out of ideas about three months in, and while that isn't true, it's getting harder to come up ...

This is a sequel, of sorts, to NICE MARINES - in this you play a group of assistants, gofers and general dogsbodies for a Space Marine who's stomping about doing a battle. It's kind of a cross between Warhammer and Paranoia, both of which I obviously have a fondness for.
I hope you have fun, and that at least one of you survives and gets a promotion!
I'm going to be changing up the ...

Twenty-one years after the release of the first film and a FULL DECADE after the most recent installment came out, I've just now worked out how to make Final Destination into a game. Excellent timing, Grant.
Hope you like it - it's very straightforward, very few moving parts, and mainly designed as a way to build gruesome co-incidental manslaughter machines where a horse runs into a bunch...

Hello!
Please enjoy this game, a sort of focused evolution of Trashkin I suppose, where you play objectionable bastards who are invading a charming fairytale kingdom to try and steal as much as they can. The more you steal, the more powerful you become (but the more trouble you can get in).
For those of you who are awaiting physical copies of games - apologies for the delay. W...

It's been a long time since I've done an Animal Crime game. This might be my last one. I hope you like it - you're a bird who intends to steal the Crown Jewels from the Tower of London, and if you need any more impetus to read the game, you're on the wrong Patreon.
Much love,

Fans of my work will recognise the core of this game is Honey Heist (I even wrote it at the top in case non-fans of my work see it) - and I have a few reasons for that.
1) I've never worked with the Honey Heist rules-set before! It's fun, and I felt like it worked well for this.
2) I came up with the title first and the rest kind of fell into place.
3) I'm working on something...

I read INTO THE WYRD AND WILD last week (again) and I felt inspired by it - I wanted to make something similar but smaller, about a specific location and the broken humans that inhabit it.
A lot of my games are about concepts that can be maneuvered into a variety of locations and this is the opposite of that. It's about a small party of outcasts venturing into named woods, and the p...

Space Marines: eternally popular. But why do we only get to see them do WAR stuff? In NICE MARINES, you play Space Marines tasked with minor diplomatic tasks - but you can't help but destroy almost everything you touch. Chris and I collaborated on this one; I hope you like it. It was originally intended as a means of running rules-lite prologue games of Delta Green, but we gave it it's own setting when we released it as a one-pager.

It's January, so of course I wrote a game that takes place in August.
This is an attempt to create something softer than my usual stuff - even the anti-establishment stuff is gentle compared to, say, Goat Crashers or Kobold Endeavour. WIDOMH (great acronym Grant) is designed to emulate kids' TV shows: the main characters don't operate on the same level of reality as everyone else, the wor...

This is an adaptation of a game I wrote many years ago - Sean Bean Quest, which comes as part of the Goblin Quest book. I've overhauled the system to reflect more modern design and given it a proper structure, bringing it from a loose improv storytelling game to a slightly less loose improv storytelling game.
(Also I took out all the maths and I stuck a load of pictures of Sean Bean...

In this game you play either a vampire or a mortal and, basically, you have terrible relationships with one another. It's written fairly straight, in as much as I haven't written much in the way of explicit gags into the text - I think that the drama and humour will arise naturally out of play. I hope it will, anyway!

A horror game about scouts!
We wanted to do this one as a LARP, ages and ages ago, mainly because pretty much all LARPs are run at scout campsites anyway so it felt like a good fit. We never got past the planning stage, so: now it's a one-page horror game.
Oh, and GM: try to put the player characters in danger as much as possible. They'll thank you for it in the end.

Wotcher chums, it's time for September's one-page roleplaying game! Tremendously happy to unveil REVERSE BEASTMASTER, a collaboration between me and Nate Crowley. You play a bunch of people who can't help but take orders from animals, but to balance things out, you also play the animals giving the orders.
