A chance meeting with a classic car enthusiast and his lovingly restored and much used Austin Healey 3000 led us here. We just had to film Patrick and his Squealy.
There'll be more of this type of content to come later in the year. Thanks to Ben James who filmed and edited this, Richard just asked the questions.
Hope you enjoy it!

Just bolt it all back together - sounds simple...
We've had some noisy works going on in and around the shed for a few weeks which meant filming has been nigh on impossible. We've filled a large skip full of scrap that was littering the place including the sad looking Celica shell that gave its guts to the mini.
During the dry build phase we concentrated on getting stuff to fi...

Hi gang,
In episode 34 of Project Binky we start the reassembly. But before it gets too exciting, we need some sound deadening, heat management and rust proofing. The painted shell begins to take shape as a car and not just a selection of parts.
We really hope you enjoy it and as always, thank you for your support!
Cheers,
Nik and Richard.

It's enough to make you want to chew your own foot off sometimes...
We're very sorry but we've not managed to finish episode 34 yet. There are some extenuating circumstances but no excuses, we've just not managed to get the work done fast enough.
It's possible we might be able to upload next weekend but if we're honest, with the problems we've still got, it's likely to be the we...

We told you not to get too excited... Episode 34 of Project Binky is nearly ready, we expect to have it ready sometime next week. A little later than hoped, but that's the story of the build so far... Escargot 6 is going to be a couple of weeks or so after that.
Then it gets exciting as in episode 35 of Project Binky, we're aiming to fire it up for the first time. We can hardly wait...

It's been a few weeks since we finished painting the mini and it seems to have gone down quite well. Body shops around the world will be cursing Nik and his creative use of pearls forevermore. In the meantime what's been happening?
Well, the next job on the mini is to prep the shell before re-assembly and that includes stuff like heat management, sound deadening, carpeting and the like...

Nothing like a global pandemic to throw a spanner in the works of your finely honed schedule, but we battled through it and eventually managed to get some colour on the mini! As usual, nothing is straightforward and the paint job takes on a life of its own.
Thanks for sticking with us, we really do appreciate it.
We love all your comments but please try not to write spoilers as it c...

Been a long time coming and our apologies for that, but we're putting the final touches to episode 33 over the next few days and you'll get it first next Thursday.
Yes, it's finally painted and safely back at the shed.
Thanks for your patience and we look forward to bringing you the episode next week!
Cheers,
Nik and Richard.

Faced with the reality of having to make a complete set of extended wheel arches for Binky, a chance meeting with a mad Spaniard gave us pause for thought. What if we could get someone else to do it? That was the main motivation behind this experiment in creating a bespoke body kit from 3D printed plastic.
Thank you for your amazing support this year; it's been rather challenging for most...

The aspect ratio is set for viewing on phones as this short video is destined for social media so don't panic.
A new Howie Did It video is due in the next couple of weeks but episode 33 is still some time away. We could have finished it if we'd been happy to conclude the video in a manner not befitting our normal standard so we decided to postpone the release until we're happy with ...

Something a little bit different. We're trying to get a second channel on YouTube up and running to allow us to bring you all the oddball, possibly interesting content that doesn't fit with our main channel with the big projects. Last weekend, we bought an old Jag with a view to trying to get the direct injection supercharged V8 engine running on standalone management ready to transplant into s...

In part 7 of Bargain Racement, we head to Silverstone for race 2 of the City Car Cup. We want to know if any of the "amendments" we've made to the car along with the testing will make any difference to our race day performance. Can we get on the podium again?
Part 8 next week will be our race at Croft and the concluding part 9 will be summing up and footage of a very special event in Hamp...

In part 4 of Bargain Racement, we finish the build of our budget race car. There's wheels to fit, towing eyes to sort, fire extinguishers to plumb in along with a jolly good service and some modifications along the way. It won't be long before we can actually race our little Citroen.
Part 5 will be an entirely different style of video based entirely at our first race at Cadwell Park. ...
