Facebook reminded me of this one (I used to post a ton of music stuff on Facebook over the years), and I thought this is still a very legit technique.
Allows you to place a sample of any length on song start and then start the song right after the sample and still keep the relevant bar structure (in Logic for example, you can add a sound before the song on "negative time" – hence the name)...

Showing you a quick tip and one of my favorite mixing “tricks” with FabFilter Pro-Q3: sidechained dynamic EQing.
Basically one track is telling the EQ on another track to cut the signal whenever the signal plays.
You can use this in a very broad "compressor style" or get very specific. Showing them both in the video.
