Just went and deleted over 40k words. Basically everything from Chapter 4 to Chapter 15 that I wrote. 

I realised what the problem was and it had a lot to do with the themes of the next arc and the way I was structuring it. Basically, book 1 ended up being the outcasts - but it is hard to talk of outcasts if you don't write about the system that's in place. So... All deleted.

Writing updates

So, I'm glad I stopped posting. I think there's going to be a bunch that needs to get rewritten in the last 7 chapters (mostly reasoning for the characters being where they are).  Anyway, it works and it makes sense, I just have to adjust some conversations.

Audiobook Updates

- I just approved the Adventurers Bond on ACX. So it's out for ACX quality check. Release in 1-2 weeks hopefully.

- Coast on Fire is being finished today, proofread (listened?) and sent for mastering this weekend. Hopefully everything gets approved and done over the next week.

System Apocalypse preview chapters issues

Alright, need people's preferences. There's an issue with posting preview chapters for the System Apocalypse and it's due to the way the 'plot' has grown out.

Basically, I knew where I needed to go and roughly why, but I hadn't figured out the actual mechanics. So, I did what I always do when that happens - I kept writing.

Writing Update

At about 7k in Book 7 of the System Apocalypse book 7 now. Har! Lots of 7's. That's just 2 chapters in. Introduced a new character too with what I think is a cool Class. He'll be rather important for this book...

Not sure I'll get much more written this week though. Dastardly sick. Like vomit in toilet bowl and hack out lungs sick. So we'll see how things go. If I don't get anymore words ...

What do you all think? There's an issue with the sub-title obviously and I have requested a sword be added. And I need to do some research on the name (current name is a placeholder).

Writing, deadlines & sickness

Blarg. Sick again. Been running a cold for the last few weeks that fades away before either coming back (or more likely) being replaced by another cold. Nothing too serious, just a constant cold.

Whenever I get a cold like this, my motivation and ability to write drops to 0. I end up churning out maybe a 1,000 words in a day, which really kills my productivity. Of course, the last few wee...

Cultivation Series (Query)

What do you guys think about the numerous footnotes? I'm debating if I should take them out and try to (somehow) write them in or just leave them as is. I prefer using footnotes since those who are familiar with the concepts can just keep reading.

On a second note, is anyone getting confused? I've tried to keep the usage of Chinese terms low except when it's appropriate. 

Just a general update

Not gotten a lot written in the last day or so. I'm sick again, nothing major but feeling under the weather. My brain isn't able to put together words well, so I'm not writing much. I'm also shivering slightly since it's -33 Celsius here. Yes. -33. That's about -20 Farenheit for the Americans.

On the other hand, lying in bed means my brain keeps spinning. I've got the first 4 (?) chapters...

Research & Naming...

Working on the cultivation novel. I'll post chapter 2 soon since I'm quite far ahead by now of that (just finishing chapter 5). One thing I need to fix is naming.

So. Chinese naming is (technically) relatively simple to start.

You have (traditionally) 3 names - Family Generation Private in that order. So for example, our hero is Long Wu Ying.

Writing Update - 12/19/2018

Alright, a few quick updates.

World's Unbound is now up on pre-order. I got back the first proofread, so that's the one up on the site. Should be nearly perfect so the 2nd proofread it's going through is just 'cause it's part of the deal I have. Those who want the edited copy now, let me know. Otherwise, I'll get the final, final up when I get it back at the end of the month.

Scattered Thoughts

Been a crazy few weeks. After getting back from the holiday, I've been working on getting the Party's Bond written while waiting for the proofread copy of World's Unbound. I intend to throw up a preorder next week for it to release Jan 1 once the initial proofread comes back.

However, getting work done has been somewhat distracting. There's a ton of great books out right now, many of whom I want...

General Musings and Thoughts

So, with my business winding down (but not done, ugh. I really want it over and done with), I'm going to go full-time writing next year staring around February or so. Right now, I lose between half to a full day of writing each day, so I hope that output will increase. However, I've noticed even on 'full' days when I have nothing to do at work, I don't increase my output that much. So... who knows...

Signed Copies - make your mark!

As many of you know, I have signed copies of my work now. I looked into the cost of shipping those copies and it works out to approximately CAD$20 for 'small packet air' and 'tracked packet' is like CAD$30. 

This is within certain weight limits (2kg I believe for the first), but that's roughly how much it'll cost to ship one copy. Cost of more than 1 copy might be slightly more - or might r...
