I’m diving into Chapter 23 now. For this cover, I want to update both the ClipStudio file and the timelapse, including the long version and the 30-second one.

After I threw on the base color for this image, I used the matte painting technique to build up the layers slowly, so I didn’t bother naming the file.

For this image, the part that took the most time was definitely Aphrodite. Since she was a new character, I spent a while figuring out her colors. The flower around her neck was painted from scratch, but the flowers on the two kids in the back were photobashed, and then I painted over them.

I initially thought about using a group photo for the cover of chapter 22, but then I realized it didn't really fit the vibe I was going for. So, I decided to shift it to chapter 23 instead.

Meanwhile, at the temple of Aphrodite..(ISBG - Chapter22 -3 bonus pages)

I was going to include this scene in the story, but I decided against it for several reasons. First, it messed with the serious vibe I was going for, and second, it was too risqué for a piece meant for a general audience.

Honestly, it was just a scene of a baby breastfeeding! Don’t read too much into it!

Since it didn’t add to the story, I’ll just leave it as a rough sketch....

So, here we are at what feels like the almost-final chapter!!

How's everyone doing? We're passing the big climax now—yep, we're almost at the finish line. You might be low-key grumbling that I said this arc would wrap up in this chapter… and yet, here we are, not quite at the end at all, lol.

Finally, it's done! Phew, just thinking about how long it took makes me want to cry (happy tears, of course, lol).

This episode had tons of background characters, which definitely took a while to draw. The next episode will wrap up with the court scene, so hang tight!

Lately, I've been using the matte painting technique. It's basically where you sketch out a rough image and then paint over it in layers. It's been super handy for me, especially for this kind of work.
