Old

Digging around I found a very old short film I did with a lousy camera and no external mic.

Wanna see it on a free run on this page? Let me know.

Sensuous

This was a shot where I directed more light on the back wall than the model. Made her somewhat silhouetted, and increased the sensuousness of the shot. Helps when you have a great model, which I did in Breanna.

It pays off when you take the time to plan, frame and light a scene with care. This is from "The Places That I've Been", which is in season eleven.

HEADS UP!!!! THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!

For August 1st Rewards - I may not be able to dole out rewards until the 2nd DAY OF THE MONTH. Reason being I will be on a flight on the 1st and may not get in until late. So be WARNED!!!!

As a side effect to this, don't look for my normal quick responses to all queries. But feel confident that if you have a question or concern, if Patreon charged you late, whatever the issue, I will get ...

Personal Choice

For me, I think Breanna probably has the best body of all the women I've worked with. Everyone has their personal favorites, but overall I think Brea really has "it".

Props!

A key prop arrived today! Now all I have to do is shoot the film that wraps around it!

Support

At any given time I have between 25 and a few hundred monthly supporters. It can be chaotic! That's why it takes a bit of time in issuing rewards - it's an all day job.

Quick tips: don't retract support right after you've been charged. You disappear off my boards and I can't send you rewards. People have rejoined a week later angry that they didn't receive rewards - that's why! Patreon do...

Lighting!

One of my favorite bits of lighting. Lights, reflectors, I use what I can to try and give a certain impression. Even the actors on the film called the lighting out after seeing this. (From: Rubicon)

Lockjaw

Samantha is one of the better looking women I've ever worked with, and I'll fight anyone over that fact.

Forgetful?

In case you forgot...Alex has a great body.

We've done a lot of films together, and she's probably one of the more perfect actresses for my kind of films - attractive, great body, and can deliver a convincing performance.

I've got two upcoming films with her, so don't worry, you'll be seeing more of her.

Don't Overlook the Changes!

The $2 tier now contains ONE FILM ONLY. It's the showcase level - meant to give the curious a look at what I do. The $6 level contains that film plus 3 more, and the $10 level carries all those films plus an additional 4. And of course, BTS at $25.

I don't have many people who are in my $2 level - usually at most 3-5 people. But especially for those 3-5, it's important to be aware of the ...

Good-bye.

I'll be losing another actress soon. This lovely lady will be moving out of Chicago. She was always a dream to work with - just so damned nice.

I don't have any upcoming films that use her. So I'll throw it out to you guys - should I engage her for one last short film? Let me know.

Cassandra

This actress has applied to be in several other of my films, but so far I haven't found one I thought she'd work in.

Anyone that dedicated you actually want to try and work with. So I'll have to think of something.

Primal

This is what I call a primal horror film. No backstory, no intricate plot. Just an annoyance that builds into a fear that builds into a dread. And then - a monster leaps out.

This is horror in its essence.

Even in more complex stories, this is the framework to building up those stories - setup, evolution, and then bang!

Rewards!

Amazingly Patreon was pretty quick with their charges, so I've dispensed rewards!

As always, if you have any trouble with the links/passwords, just message me. I'll look into it.

Otherwise enjoy!

The Urn

Another one of my films I ran across while uploading that I really loved. This, for me, was one of those old school horror films, like the kinds I watched growing up. A mysterious, haunted object.

The New Gospel

As I've uploaded my films for those who are purchasing, I've run across some of my old favorites. One of which is 'The New Gospel'. Love the story. Some really interesting actors who totally fit their role (especially the 'Eschatologist'). Morbid and absorbing story.

Shock!

That moment of shock when you realize June is almost over. It's the day before the day before the new month. So, Season 14 premieres! You have a one time offer to buy my films. And in a previous video you got a glimpse at nearly all the movies coming up in season 15 (minus one. I wanted to keep some surprises!)

What's in a name?

Hands down, my best name for a horror film. The title alone prompted a large number of new subscribers that month. So what's in a name? A lot, apparently.

Talent

This actress is one of the many very talented actresses I had the pleasure of working with. She's really great in 'The Hum' and it remains a film I really love.

But, it's unlikely we'll work together again. She and I are still friends, and communicate often. But we just haven't found a vehicle we're both happy with.

By the way, the back door is open in this shot because her characte...

Rights!

Sometimes my films air on various websites, and I'll enter into agreements with these sites. Sometimes they have terms which will limit what I can do with that film (other than run it for rental on Patreon).

Well, on all my films now I am currently outside of the timeframe any sort of agreements limiting what I can do with my films.

And that gives me an idea. I'll have to run it acr...

So when you first look....

This is a nighttime shoot.

Now look again. Look at the window in the bathroom ahead of her. Yep. It was broad daylight.

A little bit of day-for-night in the shoot via exposure.

The App

This film, 'The App', probably won't premiere for awhile, but it'll be worth the wait. Alex, doing her thing in a wild story.

Just a little peek to whet your appetite.

Simple

'Framed' was a very easy and short shoot. It was a simple story, I structured my shots in a nice, clean manner that would tell the story well, I had really good establishing shots to set it up, and it worked. It just worked. No difficult tale here.

If you're at/past season eight or you're almost there, I think you'll enjoy it.

Chemistry

These two actors, from 'The Places That I've Been' probably had the most comfortable on-screen chemistry of any actors I've worked with. If I work with either actor again I'll make it a point to try and bring in the other.

Chemistry goes a long way toward making your characters believable as a couple. It fills in a backstory without uttering a single word. Film is a visual medium - stage ...

Finding Samantha Dixon

The Lost Footage

Here's something you may not know. I shot a short film that used footage from Danielle done during her 'The Day After The Day' shoot. However after getting half finished with this other film, a lot of the footage was corrupted.

This is a rather common thing. There's part of 'The Last Voice They Hear' with Noelle which was corrupted - a nude scene you'll never see. Several shots in 'The Br...

Ouroboros

What is this man seeing? You'll find out in 'Ouroboros', a film I'm currently editing.

The script has been rewritten by me 3 times. I knew I had a story, I just couldn't express it properly. Well, it seems the third time was the charm.

The actor (pictured above) described it as a "Twilight Zone-type story." I'd have to agree.

When will you see this? Not sure. Down the line...<...

Tiers

I might be making a few changes in the tiers - the lower level tier, that is. I'm working on a few ideas.

I'm also really putting some thought into that dream of doing a feature length project again. Maybe a special limited time tier for that?

A lot of things to consider.

Rewards!

Rewards have been issued, based on the information currently supplied to me by Patreon. If you didn't receive rewards it just means I haven't gotten an ok from the company. Especially to the 3 supporters who just signed up today - if Patreon does put through charges, and that's 'if', it probably won't be until tomorrow at the earliest (they first put through a test charge on your card before pu...
