Hair settings and dynamics were being kind of gross here (and still not v. pretty, but I can live with the results for now.) I did at least learn how to use curly child particles to my advantage!

This week's gif is a cocky swordsman.

Switched back to Blender Internal for some cleaner ray-traced shadows, though that meant making a mock-wig for a work-around to strands not casting shadows. Well, funnily enough those sword-streaks were the hard part, not the hair. Yay textures on beveled curves?

Gwok, I don't like the process I used for the background here. Took WAY too long, and didn't feel very comfortable. Yet while toiling away, I did get ideas for the next set of pages, so there's never a total loss.

I'm writing from my work site in Beaumont, where we're trying to dry out after TS Harvey slammed us Wednesday morning.
