Hi Everyone

I have always wanted to be as honest as I can with all my patrons and supporters and this continues with this post. 

I am going to have to pause this account for at least a couple of months as I have recently been diagnosed with cancer and will (at least in the short-term) not be able to focus enough on my writing to publish any more zines.

Issue 3 is Available!

Hey Everyone! 

Issue 3 is now available for Patrons. It's the combat issue and has a lot of articles about various aspects of combat like weapons, armour, and even retreating. But also some articles on random tables and healing throughout the various editions of the game. 

Download to your heart's content, and leave any feedback you may have as well. :)

5-Room Dungeon

Hi Everyone! 

Hope you had a great weekend. I have to cut some content from July's issue of the zine. One of the articles I will be cutting is a 5-Room Dungeon. I was wondering if this is something you would like to see as a seperate mini-zine just for Patrons? (Assuming time allows). 

Thoughts?

Issue 2 of d12 Monthly Has Arrived!

Attached is Issue 2 of the now called d12 Monthly. 

As you may or may not know, I had to change the name of the zine for legal reasons. But it is still the same zine!

d8 Monthly is Getting a Name Change

Hey All

Due to copyright issues, I need to change the name of my zine. I was originally going to call the zine d12 Monthly, so I might just stick with that. It's annoying but not a huge deal. 

This will be starting with the next issue.

The Death Issue Grows!

Hey All

I have decided to make the next issue - Issue 2 - bigger than first planned. 

I am doing this for a couple of reason. 

One deals with putting everything I want into it, but also because I am going to try and get this one up on DriveThuRPG as a print-on-demand product and you need an 18 page minimum to do this.

Another Preview for Issue 2

In the last post I mentioned how this issue would be a little different from the previous two as it would contain more thought-provoking articles. 

Well, this is true, but there are some practical tables and rules included in the issue as well. 

I have included rules for giving characters (and even Big Bads) a significant injury instead of death. This includes a D12 table ...

Another Sneak Preview

I hope everyone is well. Issue 2 is coming along nicely and after some layout headaches, I am happy with what I have. 

This issue will probably be more article-focused than the previous two issues, which were, I think, more immediately practical. But I am hoping the articles will stimulate your creative juices.

Favourite Articles in Issue 1

Hey Gang! 

I was just wondering if you had any favourite articles in the new issue. 

Also, are there any regular articles or topics you want to see covered? 

Would you like to see a mobile phone-friendly version of my zine?

I am thinking about offering a mobile-friendly version of the zine for patrons. Is this something you would be interested in? 

Up and Coming

As mentioned in a previous post, I am already hard at work on Issue 2, which is all about Death. I put a poll up on Twitter asking fellow gamers if they liked the old school "save or die" mechanic and it seems so far that about 90% of people either like it sometimes or loves it. 

Having grown up wih it, I see it as part of D&D, but I get how some people would see it as being too ...

Future Issues

With issue 1 about to be released, I am already working on future issues of d8 Monthly. 

Issue 2 (out in June) is almost complete and has the theme of Death. It gives you options to avoid death of a PC, plus some very cool articles by outside contributors. 

Issue 3 (out in July) will be about Combat and give you some cool new rules for making combat more exciting that just...
