Devil is hedging his bets and playing BOTH Wheezy and Dice.....and certainly making some grand promises.
I certainly feel like the Devil tried pulling the same thing on Wheezy with the bathroom mess...or something similar and Wheezy didn't go for it and continued to refuse.....but the Devil is patient and he finally found what pushed Wheezys buttons.
