Really pleased with this angle! Foreshortening is hard! You can imagine why I wanted the fruits of my secret labor to see the light of day back then, for the Becky/Dina Slipshine comic, rather than sit on it for several years.

somebody in the Regular Patreon yesterday was like "hey we should put up this strip without the dialogue balloons on the Other Patreon" and i was like

but at the time i drew this, it felt weird to draw stuff i knew was going to be obscured, so all we've got is some ranma-style nippleless boobies under here

Only got as far as simple shading on this one! No airbrushing stage. This one's colored to be in neutral lighting, but when it got adapted for the Slipshine, it was reinked and recolored to take place with the lights off. IIRC, Dorothy's torso got lengthened for the Slipshine version (always retooling anatomy), and I steadied the glasses on her face. also not erupting like old faithful

Here's the color fills and colored lines! I guess I didn't like Dorothy's hand grabbing the back of Joyce's hair? Maybe I just thought I'd been drawing too much of that, I dunno. Or maybe it'd clearly be taking up the same physical space as her leg/foot. But it's not here or in the Slipshined version, so shrug! Joyce's head is still lowered down to make contact, though.
