I have now done this Autumn leaves theme shoot twice, with several years in between.

This was from the shoot I did in 2013, and I always thought I could do better,
So why did it take so long between attempts? That leads to:
THOUGHT NUMBER 1 - WHEN
In Melbourne (where I a...

The hard drive on my photography computer crashed!
Well, it is only a minor disaster, because I keep backups (and multiple backups of my raw images), and the important stuff is in the cloud.
But no photo processing or uploads until I get a working computer again.

OK, a bit delayed with the Shooting Diary and photos, so while you wait I hope you like my first attempt at video.

I did a shoot yesterday with the fabulous Kiko Berry naked in Autumn leaves. I will write up a shooting diary piece on how the shoot came together, then upload a set of images and a video from the shoot tonight.

From the archive - shot Shasta Wonder a few years ago. She has the most amazing hourglass figure.
This was an extended shoot - over 4 hours - and we ended with a shower scene.

One last chance to shoot Elen M before she moves back to Europe. It was an extended shoot, done in a cottage in the Dandenongs - here is a small taster.

A few weeks ago I did a shoot with Sandra. The theme was using fairy lights, but we shot some generic fashion as well.

I had made a resolution to not work with travelling models this year, as there were too many local models I want to work with and end up never having the time.
But I had to make an exception for Elen M. We have worked several times together as she has been living in Australia for the last few years, and we always get excellent results. But she is returning to Europe soon, and it is quite ...

My day job has me working in Cyprus for a couple of months. I put the word out on the modelling community here, and Liubov contacted me for a shoot.
I brought my camera and a couple of lenses, as well as my computer for post processing, but my baggage allowance meant I could not bring my lights, so all planned shoots had to rely on natural (or other available) light.
We discussed a ...

Federica was at a loose end on Friday night, and put out a call for a photographer. I was happy to oblige. We got make up artist Love Hawkridge on board, and spent a couple of hours having some fun in and out of the studio.
The above shot was done in the studio's back yard. It was taken with just the natural light. You can see that most of the light is coming from above, which gives some ...

Last weekend I spent the afternoon wandering around the bush with Sylph Sia. In the next few days I will publish a "Shooting Diary" post talking about my thoughts on shooting with natural light and finding locations, then later a selection of shots in a "NSFW" post. Become a patron to see these images.

A few weeks ago I did a shoot with Nymph, a travelling model from California. I teamed up with Tricksy Pixies to shoot an unusual (and quite revealing) costume.
Trouble is, this set has taken a lot longer than anticipated to process - I took around 300 photos and almost all of them are keepers! But I hope to be able to choose a few to post here soon for my patrons.

Among my photographic activities, I am one of the coordinators of Portrait Group at The Melbourne Camera Club. We hold a group studio shoot at the club once per month.
Because I am usually very busy organising the shoot, I rarely get to pick up the camera myself, but tonight was an exception and I was a...

I did a shoot with Ness in a cottage in the Dandenong Ranges. Part of that was this series of shots in a dressing mirror.
There are many challenges to shooting in a mirror, which I will address in a future shooting diary post.

OK, so I am travelling to Cyprus for my day job. So I thought I would take the opportunity to turn my hand to some travel photography.
On the basis that the best camera is the one you have with you, these shots were taken on my phone (note - no post processing, these are as I got them in the phone). The...
