PTSD UPDATE

Well, this sucks.

I had set myself a goal to return to work on the first of July. It was a personal goal more than a clinical one- a hope, maybe- in part driven by the fear that my job will tell me to fuck off forever, PTSD or not, social security involved or not. That target seems a tad distant now. Perhaps I'll make it, perhaps I won't. I'm not sure it's up to me; what IS up to me is ...

PTSD

It feels so weird to say, or write- but that's the latest diagnosis. Last year was shite for everyone but apparently my brain decided that as an essential worker it needed to process it as if I was at war.

We all saw pain. Suffering. Death. I guess it hit me harder than I imagined. It still feels unreal. The team increased the frequency of my treatment. Hopefully that will help.

Hi everyone! I hoped to resume serious writing this week, but that's a no go (therapist's orders). Apparently my brain needs a bit more untangling before I try to go back to work, either day job or commissions :(

Yet Another Update

Hi everyone! I'll try to keep this short. I am slowly getting better -more slowly than I would like, but there's improvement. I expect to be back writing in the next two weeks or so!
