Time Away

Max, that darling prince charming of mine, invited the kiddos and I to her place for the week. Ice cream and hiking trails and movie night cuddle piles. When the pup was attacked by wasps it was Max who rescued her, scooping her up in her arms. We hailed her a hero, the pup is more in love than ever. Me too. Meeeee toooooooo.

Quiet time alone (Part 1)

When I’m alone I can hear myself. I can hear what I need, and sense how I’m feeling. If someone else is in the room my radar tunes in to them, to their needs. It’s how I’m wired. I can’t hear myself if someone is standing beside me. I need to be alone, without interference, to feel myself exist.
